Chemical Guy... New thread w/o bashing

Just an update about the Butter Wet Wax....... Yesterday the temp hit 101.....today it was 97 degrees out. My truck sat out in the scorching Texas sun for 11 hours a day, while I was at work the past 2 days. Still looks ultra wet, ultra deep, ultra rich, ultra glossy. Expecting rain this weekend so I'll see how the BWW holds up to the elements. So far, I just can't take my eyes off the "BlkTac". ( it looks just like Scottwax detailed it! lol )

Samples of CG products going out tomorrow to all who requested them.

EDIT: OK offer is closed, everyone who sent me an email tonight .. I'll respond over the weekend, don't worry .. you will get samples of your choice.

Good luck to those who already asked for samples, I look forward to reading your opinions. To others who like to talk about products they have never tried ... please ... save your breath!

I also purchased the blue oil-based protectant/dressing, but haven't used it until I finish off my Hi-Temp Grape dressing.

I was going to spring for the sealant+3x nuba, but I have too much Twins to use up 1st.

That's a very simple product to make as I formulated some a few years ago for an AutoMagic distributor. It's just mineral spirits, Dimethyl Fluid Silicone, colorant and fragrance. Cost is about $4.00 gallon to make. I still have plenty from samples I acquired and make some up as needed. :)

My second order from Chemical Guys arrived today. Both times I've ordered from them, their products arrive in 4 business days. DHL for the 1st order & Fed Ex for the 2nd order. Infact, both orders arrived at 9:15 am. Great service. From reading my previous posts on this thread, you can tell I'm in love with the Butter Wet Wax. I can only hope that todays arrival of the Extreme Top Coat Paint Sealant + 3X Carnauba provides me the same experience. Rain in the forecast for the days to come.....not sure when I'll be using the Sealant + Nuba.........stay tuned....Here's a quote from the ETCPS+3XC........."Top-Coat Sealant is an Amino Functional Resin with 3XCarnauba. A Superior formulation delivering unmatched protection coupled with the finest Brazillian Carnauba wax to offer unparalleled shine. Final top-coat goes on and comes off easy, and works on new cars, used cars, waxed or glazed surfaces or recently clayed surfaces to lock in the shine and protect". What I find interesting about that is where the label says..."waxed or glazed surfaces".

OK everyone who sent bottles through yesterday: your samples are on the way to you as I type! Let me know if they do not arrive early next week.

Everyone else who PM'd me with an interest, please check out this thread for the CG's products I own and send me bottles for the samples you want. Contributions to return delivery very much appreciated also. If you did contact me and have not sent bottles yet, please do so ASAP, I want to finish with the sending of samples over the next week or so before my work gets really busy (it takes a long time to fill dem little bottles!)

Blktac05 .. interested to see what the BWW does for you after the first few washes. I agree with you that BBW looks very good on application but like UPP, the very wet look and slickness dropped off for me fairly quickly after the first few washes and some wet weather. Their magic seal seems much more durable.

I'll try and make some time to write up short reviews of each CG's product over the holiday weekend.

Thanks RedondoV6 for you willingness to help out other Autopians at the expense of your time and money.

Hey no problem guys! I just want to see the products in more hands so we can have an intelligent and informed discussion on the attributes and usefulness of CG's products :)

It is no secret that I use mainly Sonus, 1Z and Zaino products on my own vehicles (all of which offer premium performance IMHO) and it used to REALLY irritate me when almost every Zaino thread was baited and jacked by members some of whom who had never tried Zaino! Thankfully, that situation seems to have improved and Zaino users can discuss Zaino products more freely now.

Same thing here with CG's products: Some members suggesting that they are relabeled as other "premium" brands and other members blindly defending their favorite brands, MOST of whom had never even tried CG's products! Come On!

:sosad :rofl

All respect to the members who did respond to my offer, who want to cut through all the bull and hot air, try these products for themselves and report back their findings to the community. I'll be joining these members with short reviews and application tips on all the CG products I have used to date, then maybe we can lift the quality of this debate and move on.

One last thing .. a HUGE thanks to the member who sent ME a ton of samples of HiTemp, CG and other products that I have not tried yet, asking for nothing in return. I'm VERY grateful your generosity. If there is ever anything I can do for you, let me know! :bow :xyxthumbs :D

Redondo,

I love to detail my truck. I'm waxing every 2 weeks. After 2 washes, my truck still has that "just waxed shimmer". So far, the Butter Wet Wax is holding up well. I've maintained the fresh look by using a 50/50 mixture of Sonus Carnauba Spritz & Pinnacle Crystal Mist after each wash. After the rain passes here in West Texas, I'll be trying the Extreme Sealant w/ Nuba. ( and topping with BWW, ofcourse! )

Hey guys, I've PMed several people in this thread w/o a response. I've recently found that there is something wrong with my PM box. It is completely empty yet won't allow me to receive messages. I've cleared everything and checked my CP, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I've contacted admin. about the problem. So, if any of you have tried PMing me w/o success, I apologize. Also, any recommendations concerning aspects of this problem I've overlooked would be appreciated.

Wouldn't it be a better test of the product if did not use any enhancement spritz after each wash?

Mike (RedondoV6),

Samples received!:xyxthumbs Thanks!

Cool! Let me know what you think about them Craig.

I used BWW, leather scent conditioner and air freshner, and Allguard original this weekend on two vehicles. I'm liking the first three products OK but I'm undecided about Allguard. It goes on well, but after two days of rain SOME of the tires lost their shine, others are still looking good.... Go figure. I need to use it more before I make my mind up.

JJ: Received your bottle over the weekend. I'll send out some BWW to you within the next few days.
