Received my stuff as well, was a little accident with the PO, but they wrapped it up good, but still lost a little bit of product. When I get a chance I will check this stuff out.

I have yet to receive my products from the Chemical Guys. It's been 12 days since I placed my order. Kinda' irritating. I realize it's traveling from California to Maine, so I can't be too upset... I guess.

RedondoV6: PM sent

EDIT: IT WAS SITTING OUTSIDE THE DOOR. FEDEX GUY DIDN'T FEEL LIKE KNOCKING TODAY!

I now have an entire gallon of Medium Compund. I'm willing to send out samples or larger portions for a small fee to cover shipping. PM for details.

Does it smell like Adams butter wax at all?

Yes, but so does PBs EX. What i have noticed is EX is a little bit thicker and darker in color. Adam's is lighter in color and dry's faster then both. This is just at looking and smelling the three products, have not had a chance to use it.

I was able to try the Medium Compound today on my wifes horribly swirled trunk. I have to say, I think this product is at least equivalent to the SSR 2. It smells the same, it look the same, and it performs equally as well IMO. I am unable to take pics b/c my wife is out of town with the camera. I will try to take some pics when she returns. I'm currently detailing her car one panel at a time!

You're not alone, many people have told me the same thing, but nobody has said it isn't the same. No big deal, if people want to pay higher price for it, cool.:xyxthumbs

What happened to Burlyq's post listing a certain website that produced comparable products as chemical guys? I swear it was up for a minute or two.....:D

Kraig,

I'm thinking of ordering a dozen of their 1/4" thick super plush microfiber towels in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know if I do.

Just an update on my Butter Wet Wax experience.........

It appears that durability is not as top notch as I was hoping for. Which, once again, is okay with me because I wax so frequently. 2 1/2 weeks & 3 rain storms later, the BWW appears to be dead. Optics were still teriffic but I noticed there was no beading while I washed with AutoBathe. It did sheet the water quite nicely though. Kinda scratching my head at this point. Today I applied another coat & the "BlkTac" is back looking stellar! Heavy Thunder Storms on tap tonight. Just my luck!!

I don't want to stir the pot but....... That can of wax sure looks alot like natty's paste wax.

Sorry I couldn't resist. I am just kidding! LOL! I don't want to be sniped back at for my comment.

Wow, it's sun-friendly too! How interesting.

Heh, we'll have to see if they come up with a blue version of the XXX paste wax. Part of me wants to believe that PB's products are independantly designed (hell, I'm wearing a PB's tshirt as I type this), but I guess I'll just have to try some of the CG stuff and find out for myself.

Why? Why isn't everyone loyal to CG's like they are to PB's? It's almost like ya'll want to spend more money because a company through you a sample or something. Someone at CG's should take note and start throwing out samples and have circus type give-away's to earn some respect, lol.
