CD-2 Engine Detailer

yeah I have an rs and the engine is the same way, GST & GSX's are reversed. Nice by the way.

There is a post about the product. Someone used it and showed pics. It was really nice, I have been looking for it ever since.

This thread inspired me to run by AutoZone on the way home. Lo and behold there were 2 cans on the shelf, so I grabbed one. For 4.99, if it's as good as they say it is, it's a killer deal.

Just use this today and loved it. I love how it says you can spray it anywhere(Beside the alternator) and not worry if its bad if it get into any place its not suppose to.

i just came from auto zone and i picked up 2 cans of cd2, that's all they had, i tried it under my hood, it looks good but i gotta tell ya i use this stuff by malco called perfect 10, imho it's better than cd2. it fogs , the mist of dressing is so fine it fogs, like smoke and leaves a high gloss satin finish, it drys almost immediatly and is never tacky. if you google malco i'm sure you'll find it. it's 9.99 a can, a bit expensive but i think you'll be pleased with the results.

my guess is, depending of course how much is needed for ea. engine, about 5 or 6. btw i found perfect10 at detailsupplydepot.com for 5.99 a can and there's 27 cans available. please try this product i'm sure you'll like it.

just got back from Auto Zone.. they only had 2 but are having some more delivered for me from a nearby store...

Thanks for the heads up, been wanting to try this for awhile!!

1 is enough. That just wasting product if you use 5-6 cans on ONE engine bay

what makes this so much better than say, meguiars hyper dressing using the same method? (allowing it to "cure" with the engine heat)

What is so good about CD2 is that it is an acrylic based product that dries hard and non-oily so dust and grime doesn't stick and build up. It wipes clean and lasts for quite a while. It also works very well in wheel wells.

:aww: :hifive:

what is comparable to this product? what else can you spray on and walk away for engine?

:funnypost

there are 5 or 6 other products named in this thread

all you have to do is read!

:werd:

I picked up 2 cans of CD-2 from Amazon a couple of months ago, after reading all the reviews, but I've been hesitant to use because I thought I may need to protect the exterior paint from any overspray.

Nobody seems to mention this, so maybe I'm mistaken that this would be a problem ?
