I heard that this was the place for any and all detailing questions, and after using the search button for a while all i can say is Wow there are some skilled people here. I recently purchased this 1983 Crimson Cat I am fixing up, and have already done several areas (engine bay/interior) but I would like to try to make the paint shine a little. I am going to have the car painted in 6 months or so but want to try my hand at shining it up. BUT before i get started do you guys think its worth the work? Here is the car in question, the car has the original paint (Bright Red) and has been sitting since 1998.
Here was the engine when I first picked it up.
And here it is after i yanked it all apart and cleaned/painted/polished.
This is what the tail-light buckets looked before sanding/poly-flex/primer/paint
And after
Thanks in advance!
