I was contacted by a member here about making his new 550i even newer than it was. I've never worked on Carbon Black before but wow is it ever a cool color!
There was very little contamination on the car and therefore little claying to be done. There was also only the need for light polishing.
This is what the entire car had going on. All very light but still all over the car. My choice was to whip out my Dynabrade attachment on my trusty B&D rotary. For polishing duty was ZPC and a yellow 8" Meguiar's 8000. The result was this:
That was to the owners liking.
With those results I proceeded with the same process on the rest of the car with some areas getting a second round. The car was then wiped down with Z6 and given two coats of Z2 Pro. I had to get some shots while the sun was still overhead so don't mind the dirty wheels.
Okay, now the wheels are clean.
You can see the Dynabrade attached to my rotary just in front of my car.
The inside of the car was untouched at the owners request.
