What is the best redily available 1 step wax that I do not have to mail-order. I need something really quick that will do a good job!

Thanks Alot!

You might want to give Meguiars NXT a try. Its available at Pep Boys, Walmart, etc and costs about $14.95.

If you are more into carnuabas you can try S100. It can be purchased at most Harley Davidson dealers for $15.00

Meg's Cleaner Wax (burgundy bottle) is better than you might think (though not as good as the #6), and the Mother's Cleaner Wax is pretty good too. Or see if your local autobody/paint supply place has Pro products. Their cleaner wax, topped with their straight wax, was what a some of us used back in the day.

S100 will need a well prepped finish, so if you have oxidation etc. I would choose something else. Something OTC that I used a few years back was Eagle One Wet Polish (Touts Teflon!). Marketing aside, it does work fairly well on slightly oxidized finishes, "fills in" some minor swirls, and has not a bad reflection. Not too cheap, though, when compared to Megs cleaner wax, Turtle wax, Mother's etc.

NXT, hands down ... if he's going for a Good Wax (er, sealant), that he can put in his hands to buy, and get good results w/out having to polish beforehand (S100 is great, but i agree w/ needed a well-prepped finish) .... NXT has all of that to some extent.

I also liked what been able to accomplish with Mother's Cleaner Wax

Just got some Meg's #66 in and it works great! NXT works well, but isn't as effective as #66 in terms of swirl removal...probably cause it hides them better....LOL

Protection is pretty good too! Down here we get rain every other hour. Applied #66 to a clients car about 2 wks ago, washed it Sat. and the surface is slick and beading great...

I agree with Ranney, however its not realy readily available.....

I guess your kind of stuck with either Megs Cleaner/wax, or Mothers cleaner wax.......Both decent products when your in a pinch.....

I can't believe no one's mentioned Klasse AIO. In my experience, there isn't an easier, better one-step product out there.

Edit: My bad...no mail order. Regardless, you should mail order it. It's very much worth it.

Edit2: Though you may be able to pick it up from a local Mercedes or Porshce dealer.

Readily available - ColoRx by Meguiars. Does a great job on oxidized paint, not as long lasting as NXT, but if you want to clean the paint, it does a great job. Only 8 or 9 bucks and available at Walmat, Autozone, PepBoys, etc....

Meguiars Color X, NXT, #6, #20, Cleaner Wax. Mothers Cleaner Wax liquid or paste ,and Reflection. Eagle 1 Wet Polish and Nano. You should be able to find these in most auto parts store. Also Turtle Ultra. These are the best of the over the counter cleaner waxes .

I second ColorX. Just did a black Range Rover with it, looks incredible. I applied S100 over on one side and the side without it actually looks better.

"Wax" with more durability than cleaning ability--#20

Wax with more cleaning ability (and ease of use) than durability--Mother's

AIO can be found locally, some Carquest stores carry it. I got my AIO and SG from a small carquest in southern california.

Gotta agree with NXT.....I did this Suburban today. Just a thorough wash & NXT applied with my Cyclo. The customer was very happy with the look & the price. I use to use Mothers cleaner wax......But this is too easy

I used Mother cleaner wax for the first time last week (it came free with the clay bar kit I had to buy) and was very impressed with it
