Beer

This one is for you Wheelz. Thanks for suggesting The Bruery, I picked this one up at BevMo yesterday. I'm having this one right now and damn is it tasty. I was going to stop by The Bruery after golf today in Dana Point but finished the round a little later than expected. After trying this I should have still went! I guess the plus side of not going is I would have spent way too much money there haha

You have to try Rue D'Floyd and Bemangoed at the Bruery, solid beers.

Also try Beachwood up in Long Beach. So many breweries now in Orange County

I'm definitely on board with good beer consumption but I'm a fairly moderate drinker, five to eight 12 or 16 ounce beers is my typical weekly consumption. Saisons, hefeweizens, Belgian pale ales and American pale ales and India Pale ales are my favorite styles. I've had Saison Rue and like it although it would not be among my four or five favorite saisons. Prairie only kinda, sorta, has distribution in Maine and we don't get Cooked Stave, Funkwerkz, Tired Hands, Jester King, the Bruery, Boulevard, Logsdon, etc. through normal distribution channels. Some of those reach Massachusetts which makes them slightly easier to obtain. Hill Farmstead (and Lawson's Liquids and the Alchemist) means a four-and-a-half hour plus drive each way unless you have a friend bring some back. Personally, the vast majority of American saisons I've had don't particularly impress me. Give me Dupont, De Glazen Toren, Fantome and de Blaugies over most of the American attempts, especially when they cost less as they often do.

As this site is looking for lack of a better description a subscription/funding, link has been removed.

I think this is a really good deal.

Coors summer brew was quite good. Everyone i gave one to, liked it.
Currently on deck...

Busch
Straub american lager

Both cases are bottles. Again, something to be said for bottles.

For yesterday's World Cup USA game I had:

Almanac Gose
Noda Hop Drop n Roll IPA
Lagunita Nighttime Black IPA

My Stone Ruinten will have to wait for some other day.

Think Im finally going to venture into the Growler era. Gonna hit up Lakewood Growler which has 36 different beers on tap for you to stock up on. Now its just a matter of choices, so many choices.... Going to hit up Community Brewery or Lakewood Brewery Saturday for a fun hoppy day. Drank some Lagunitas Undercover Shut-Down Ale this past week. Great stuff and at 9.7% it still comes in a 6 pack. Cant beat that.

On a side note, anyone able to find and try Hop Stoopid yet? Only seen it in a few pics but cant seem to locate it.

Forgot how good the straub american lager in bottles is. Picked up a 30 pack of coors extra gold for the long weekend. Again, at $13.75 and considering how good it is, its a win/win.

I haven't had extra gold in years. In college we would drink that and red dog all the time.
