Back of the can says protective barrier repels brake dust, dirt, and road grime. Last up to four weeks.

Well if it doesn't repel brake dust we know it repels honey. LOL

Just in case we run over a beehive

Interesting product with little work to be involved with. I like that. Getting lazy to clean my meshed wheels. Keep us posted on the outcome!

My luck Killer bees. :lol

The video on detailingbliss shows it works.

Another poster over there said he used it on his father in-laws truck two weeks ago and it did a great job on preventing brake dust.

I guess I'll go out and see how it does.

Works fairly well BUT the coating is sticky after initial application. I'm hoping it'll go back to normal tomorrow though. Its like dipping it in silicone in a way

The problem i have with these products is that once they are compromised you have to clean the wheels, often with a cleaner to get them back to a condition where you can reapply it with out "sealing in" brake dust etc. Often we are talking 3 weeks or less on performance brakes!

Personally thats why i find a durable sealant like EGP works so well, yeah it wont repel brake dust like its a polor oppersite. But what does build up wipes away in a second, month after month before its compromised.

Thats months, before im back with wheel cleaners and lots of brush time! Other wise its a mitt and ez detailer for the barrels at the wash stage for me.

Cant help but recommend a spritz of UQD on the wheels after the sealant as it inhibits build up even more! Also EGP is water like, easy to apply with a finger applicator!

I will see how this fairs if and when i get my hands on some!

I agree, it is a bit harder to clean the wheels, though I don't find I need wheel cleaner, just a bit more scrubbing. Without this stuff, my wheels are black in a week, which means I need to wash 3 times as much, so it is a fair tradeoff in my book.

$8+ at Checkers here. Can says it covers four wheels and last four weeks.

For that price ($96 a year) I think Chemical Guys has some better sealants

Hello everyone. Today I bought a can and sprayed half of a wheel to do a comparison.

The directions were pretty simple. I did clay bar the wheel as an added step so that I would have a clean surface to work with. It also mentions to let your car sit at least an hour to properly dry. I will post an update in 7 days maybe sooner.

The wheel in the picture is on my 2006 A4.

If a can only coats four wheels I'll probably pass. My EBC yellows wash off Zaino pretty easily and it lasts over 6 months on wheels.

Is it me or does the video seem a little sketchy.. The part where the honey slides off, They look like they just disappear or edited.

Anyway I might buy a can to try.

I did four wheels and didn't even make a dent in my can. Of course I didn't go crazy and just hold the trigger down either. If it works I'll continue to use it, but if it doesn't I'll just go back to Blackfire WD, or Opti-seal.

I would say that a can would last me 6 plus applications. At least. Now if you like to apply product heavy maybe not.

Yeah, I would agree, you'd have to hose the wheels down to use a whole can. I only do the front wheels though as my back wheels don't really get that bad and the EO stuff makes it so the fronts stay just as clean as the backs, so the car maintains a cleaner look.

I'm really getting a chuckle out of all the people that are comparing this to a sealant or wheel sealant like PB or Wheelwax. This is a brake dust repellant, not even in the same league.

I tried it today and will see how it holds up. It did leave a slight residue which I had to wipe off after it dried.

Pat are any of your cars that you out it on have polished aluminum? Im curious what it does to that? Let us know.

Barry...I won't be trying it on any my garaged cars just my daily drivers and my work car. I put it today on my 4Runner. Unfortunately none of my DD have polished alum wheels.

I put the Armor protectant on my wife's car the other day, and since then she's driven through a couple of heavy storms and the wheels look very clean.

I was surprised how clean they still look today. Don't know how long this stuff really last, but it did a great job from what I could tell in real world conditions. :2thumbs:

I picked up a few cans the other day and one can got me thru two cars and still had some left in the can. Wheels look great and are slick once dry.

One car was sold and the other car the owner really gets her car dirty so that should be helpful in my research. :)

For those of you familiar with one Audi/VW brake pads, they produce a lot of dust. I can honestly say I clean my wheels twice as much as I wash my car.

Here are my results after 6 days. I sprayed half of the wheel with Armor All. I did not spray the wheel barrels. Hopefully my pics will help. Please ignore the wheel-rash.

My opinions:

There was some brake dust but a considerable amount less.

I am certain one blast with my power washer will clean the wheels without the need of soap/wheel cleaner.

Easy to apply.

I still have half of the can to use to reapply when needed.

I would definitely buy this product again.

Cheers!
