If I use a quick detailer like Mothers Showtime, Meguiar's Quik Wax or a product such as Eagle 1 Wax As U Dry, the next time I wash my vehicle, does it remove these spray on products?



I'm thinking about using one of these for the in between times when I am not waxing.



Would these work over Collinite?
 
Malachi71- Of the ones you mentioned I've only used the Showtime, but I've used countless other QDs. Unless you do an incredibly gentle wash (and that's by my standards ;) ) it's gonna wash off.



I use a number of QDs over Collinite to add a little something after I wash. I don't see any problem with the ones you mentioned.
 
On Collinite - which is a very clear product - a similarly clear QD works best. Some QDs are just nice, and of course they add something. But if you want to focus on this particular 'something' and enhance it, giving it true dimension, try the FK1 #425. No other QDs perform like it. It will add fantastic definition, unbeatable slickness, and a 3 week protection on its own. A gentle wash may influence it less than the other, usual QDs.



I use Showtime, Victoria Wax QD, 1Z Lackfinish, etc., for dusting, general QDing, but when I want to give the finish something special, I exclusively use the #425.

What is FK1#425 and where is it sold?

just so you know, Malachi71, Eagle one's WAUD and Meg's Quick Wax are very different from Showtime. Showtime, as Bence said, will wash off, but WAUD and Quik Wax leave a bit of wax...they are more comparable to Mothers FX and Relfections Spray Waxes, and none will just immediately wash off. But from what I've heard FK #425 will easily outlast all of them.
 
I've used Griots Speed Shine & Eimann Frabik Clear Pearl with no problems on #845 liquid or #476 paste.

I have abandoned QD's all together after a wash, and instead, use Eagle One Wax As U Dry and Mother's FX Spray Wax both on wet surfaces as I dry. They are mindless and effortless to use. Spray on wet surface and wipe dry even on trim and glass. They blow the doors off any tradtional QD after a wash and I have bottles and bottles of them that I have tried.



They are not traditional QD's rather, what I like to call QD's on steroids as they contain a wax that will last a couple weeks. They leave a very wet, dipped in salad oil look.



Malachi71, I contacted both Mother's and Eagle concerning your question about wax removal and both said no, they won't strip existing wax.



Traditional QD's for me are used for wipe downs between polishes to clear up dust and residue as well as for cleaned door jambs.



However, I still use Quick Shine and the remainder of my Clear Pearl for post washe wipe downs on vehicles that I don't use the spray waxes as they contain some measure of protection to help boost exisitng wax or sealants.
 
Seth, I think you misunderstood Malachi, because he asked that will the next wash neutralize the QDs (not the WAUD or Showtime washing away waxes).



The 1Z Lackfinish is a similar waud-type product, which adds protection. However it is nowhere near to the #425 in terms of appearance. I love my FX spray wax, but strictly it is a spray booster sealant, not a traditional QD. The ease of application is wonderful, as are the terrific wet results. But the FK is still the king of all QDs. No other leaves such a beautiful hard candy finish.

I haven't tried the FK. I did buy their decon system and got a sample of mini buff that I haven't used yet. Not sure how to use it (what pad) or how aggressive it is.
 
Wonder how the FK1 425 compares with OCW...anybody tried them both?



Being a synthetic, would the FK1 425 compromise additional layers/applications of something like 476S?



This whole "beyond conventional QD" product discussion has sorta piqued my interest, though I plan to use up my many gallons of EFCP/SpeedShine/QwikShine/etc. first ;)
 
I have both (new to me). Eventually I will get to them, but still layering might be sometime in the future. Will use both, but only as an LSP.
 
I'm extremely enthusiastic about my newly acquired FK 425. A true gem in the world of detailing products. :2thumbs:



My car is spit-shined with Souveran and I see nothing detrimental about using 425 on it. I think the result of the two is fantastic. I still can't get over the true anti static properties of this product! :bow
 
I didn't notice any bonding issues, #425 over a wax or sealant and vice versa. For me the initial look of OCW is nothing to write home about, but the #425 is immediately clear and very glossy. The OCW improves a lot in the next day or 2, but #425 gains even more slickness too. The hard candy look is instant, but the 'sugar coating' seems thicker next day.
 
Couldn't..........resist.........the........urge...............just ordered some #425. (lol)



How many times have we said......"Alright.....I'm done! Not ordering anymore detailing stuff!" Only to find yourself placing an order for yet another product you really don't need! That urge has cost me about $800.00 this past year. (lol)



Now keep in mind that my ever expanding, massive arsenal possesses a gallon each of CG's 3 QD's, a big ole bottle of QuickShine, 2 bottles each of Sonus Carnuaba Spritz,Acrylic Spritz & Acrylic Glanz, 2 1/2 bottles of Crystal Mist and a big ole bottle of Spray & Gloss. So it was "quite obvious" that I NEEDED to buy a gallon of #425! (lmao)



Don't even ask me about my collection of 48 bottles of cologne & my 10 different scents of deodorant! (lmao......Notice a pattern here?????? lol ) :dance
 
:o I confess that I too, have a bottle of #425 in the cart, but really, it was just to see what the shipping costs are...wow, only $4.99! Hmmm...NOOOOOOO...I have too many QD's...(resisting the urge for now...)
