About Quick Detailers

I have to say that Z-8 Grand Finale Spray is one of the slickest QDs I have used. Very high quality over Zaino sealants and the surface gets slicker to the touch over the next 1-2 hours as the sealant crosslinks.

You should try the TW Platinum Series Ultra Gloss Detailer, it's fantastic. Easy to apply and wipe off, great results. Smells like carnauba wax, because it contains carnauba wax.

It's the only TW product I currently use, but it's so good. :xyxthumbs

Peace.

I understand distilled water is prefered, but I do believe my R.O. water from the in house tank would suffice, no ?

Yeah, IMO RO water should work fine, at least it does for me. Do chill it though, the whole thing works a lot better with cold water/QD.

Well, EDIT that...I think it's gonna depend on your water, even after the RO process. I didn't notice any problems though.

I read from one of the FK product posts that you can use the 2180 Ultra Poly Wipe Sealant on just painted from the body shop stuff. I am having my tailgate and rollpan done next week. I was going to put the Megs#5 on every 2 weeks for 3 months for protection and allow the paint to cure. Like I did with my fiberglass hood. After reading a post about being able to use it over the new paint and calling farekare and asking them, I am going to try it. I hope I am doing the right thing.! Figured I would also order the 425 at the same time and put it on 1/2 of my hood. Will put my regular MHGAS on the other side of the hood and see what the difference will be. I cant imagine that 425 will be better. But we will see!!

Bence, is the above true about using #2180 on new paint job from local body shop?

What were your results? ...425 or Menzerna HGAS?

425 is a QD. Use it as a QD. The added benefit that its own protection lasts longer than a typical QD. It is versatile and looks excellent. You can use it on plastics, glass, electronic appliances, mobile phones, sunglasses, whatever you want. THAT'S the benefit.

Sorry to be lame, but will adding 425 over the Klasse make it look better (black car)? And if the QD is meant to be used between washings, I can't imagine putting anything on a black car that isn't completely clean to begin with. So then is the QD used on a clean car (after washing) in between the times when the Klasse AIO and sealant glaze are used?

A QD is not strictly putting something on a car, because a QD has very little functional stuff in it. It consists of up to 98% water. A QD helps lifting the 1-2 days old dust from the surface while giving *some* refreshing to the original layer of sealant/wax. You can do it after washing, but with a thick MF you can lift up&away the dust safely between washes.

Better QDs add (sometimes a lot) to the look, and even better QDs will provide quite good protection. However Klasse SG has a very good optics, looks wet, so it is hard to improve. But the best QDs can help here as well. The look won't be always *better*, but it helps to keep the car clean and looking fresh. That is the purpose of a QD.
