5 Coating Adhesion Test to CarPro Essence Review!

Common sense will take you the answer to this.
I can take a polish/Compound and compound any of the coatings off. Bet I do not need 1370F to remove the coating :)
I will take it a step deeper bet I can take factory clear coat off and yes not need 1370 f to remove the clear coat.

Guys think before you drink the coating manufacture's kool aid :)
They listed where it falls on the MOHS scale simultaneously.
It's useful information.

Jesse will be back in the office tomorrow. We'll see if he has any updates...

sweet...because im scared to essence a car before PBL if it might affect the bonding even a bit

im running my own test on my roof with essence and a few paste's but I doubt I will stick with it long enough to provide any good feedback

I sw jesse when i called to check an order..he said he will update when he gets the time

Its our fault, we keep them really busy, :)

The variable you are describing is abrasion...not heat

Essense and PBL coating work well together. Actually beautiful together.

Agree...

Giving this another bump. I think its been a bit over 4 months since the review started?

We should be able to see some big change in results by now ^_^

This thread was a bit weird from the beginning assuming a coating should last two years. Otherwise what's the point. The only way this makes sense is verification of premature failure which is crap shoot because how would you know ...if the essence itself is supposed to be good for a year even if the top coat failed.

I have used the Blackfire coating thrice, first time being 4.5 months ago (that I picked just after its launch) and then 2nd/3rd time past two weekends. First time it was a breeze to use and had a long working time allowing to go back n forth easily. Exactly like how the video of Mike(smack) showed it. Loved the outcomes.
Four months kept at room temp and sealed bottle.
The last two recent uses and it was very difficult to work with. Hardly any working time to the extent you find it dry during the overlap pass of criss cross. Similarly very grabby to remove.
I saw several other people complain recently on a dedicated thread as well even though they opened the bottle for first time picking from the recent BF site sale .

My personal hypothesis (and it`s just my mileage ) is that the shelf life of product isn`t great and product in closed bottles has aged similarly as the open bottles.
I am now very worried of the two 8oz bottles I picked at the BF site sale.

I Just tried to use some BF Crystal Coat that remained after a pervious car - it was a completely different animal. Almost un - usable. Extremely difficult/grabby to remove after application with no waiting time. Looks like I will have to get rid of it unless someone can tell us what needs to be added to the bottle to rejuvenate it. At present, I wouldn`t recommend it.

I had a terrible experience with BF cc. I gave one bottle to a member and still have 3 four oz bottles that are probably worse now than last xmas.

Luckily they were free..but gee how convenient. Lol..oh well. Maybe they have a purpose somehow. I did my neighbors wheels with some but was still kind of a pita.

Nonetheless, bump
