Awesome test, this is why I love this forum and Autopia for sponsoring it. The amount of info sharing and help that goes on here is amazing. Thank you Jesse!

Cool. Thanks for doing this.

Looks like the swirls are gone, do you think they were filled or removed? Did you look at it under light yet?

Great test!!! Would like to also see how Essence performs under some standard sealants like FK1000, PNS etc

Essence must have some decent cut to remove those imperfections from VW clear with a white pad.

Looking forward to seeing the results. I have a bottle of HD Polish on the way, Essence sitting on the counter, and an unopened syringe of OC 2.0. I just can't make up my mine on what direction I want to go in. This thread should help.

Or.....I'll wind up buying 2 more coatings and adding to the confusion.

awesome. thanks for the legwork

hey what brand blue applicator is that?
it looks like it has a little hand grip ridge on it

An update will come in about a week with water beading/durability on how the products adhere to CarPro Essence.

Jesse, thanks for doing this. Most interesting comparison!

Two questions:

  • Will you have the ability to monitor this car over the long haul?
  • Was there any post-wipe down after application of Essence?

Thanks again!

Awesome! I wish you could include a section with ONLY Essences.

Yes the far right section is Essence all by itself with nothing on it.

I should be able to monitor the car over several months, since a worker here just got the car and is not planning on selling it anytime soon.
Also I did not do an IPA wipe down, I just applied essence, buffed it with a microfiber towel, and then applied the coating over top of it.
