Where?
Very cool Jesse. I'd agree with your observation of the BlackFire having the tightest beading at this point.Updated the thread with water beading pictures, check it out!
Got it, thanks.2nd post.
Just throwing it out there from my testing. Essence by its self does not have very high water contact angle, I also saw the same kinda weak beading from it. But it stayed that way and didn't diminish over the coarse of 5 months I was testing it.Updated the thread with water beading pictures, check it out!

Jesse,
Thank you for the update! Great work.
I differ from most as I have seen water spots on most coatings as a major problem so the breading does not impress me.
Please pour the water an lets check the sheeting of each coating....
I know this is outside the box thinking.
Respectfully, Thank you, Sir
Yes, I will also check the sheeting once I wash the car. Updates should be coming within a couple weeks. :bigups
Great test. Thanks for all the hard work and updates.
I didn't read all the posts on here. I've used Blackfire a couple times, found it a very easy coating to use. I opened a fresh bottle to try on top of Essence. I found the two didn't play well together at all. My next step was to adjust the amount of time between Essence and Blackfire. I'm curious how long did you wait between Essence and the coatings?

Just curious but what did you observe exactly that let you know those two products did not work well together? The more details the better please (application process, weather, etc)I know everyone else on here would soak up your data too.
I just used this exact same process on the deck lid of my GTO. I polished with Boss correcting cream, followed by Essence. After wipe off I applied BF Crystal Coat. It was definitely grabby upon removal and required me to shrink my working area and wipe off immediately after application. It took a little bit but I was successful. I did this outside around 5pm. Temp was around 70ish and the paint had been out of direct sunlight for a while prior. Only other thing I can think of is that the bottle has been open for a few months now.

I'm waiting more longevity results before pulling the trigger on essence.
I don't polish/coat enough to justify it at this time but I would like to see how the bf ends up playing as I have it and pbl.
This thread has epic potential.
