106FA or M205 for 1-step?

I was considering ordering some Charisma's from Kevin that are serged. Does anyone here have any Charisma's from Kevin? I was wondering if you guys liked them, and how well they held up in the washing machine with the serged edges.

Kevin charges $18 for 2 Charisma's. They are 20''x28'' with serged edges, not a bad price at all.

I tried to write to Kevin a couple of weeks ago. I got "can not deliver" when I sent an E-mail to Koverall@cddn.com
Does anyone know his current E-mail address? I would like to order.

I have a few towels from Kevin. His towels and workmanship is of very good quality. You can get 4 towels roughly 20" x 14" for $18 or so.

I got 6 of them (white) for $14 at the actual outlet, 32x18, I just fold over the edges. No washing problems to worry about either.

Just buy your towels from fieldcrestcannonoutlet.com and fold over the edges and seal the exposed edge under a zig zag stitch, no unraveling and very inexpensive. I get 4 towels out of a lg bath towel.

jermar,

It must be something to do with your e-mail address then. I have tried Kevin at both e-mail addresses that you have, and they both work fine.

Hi guys
Just needing advice here,
If I have P203s and P085rd, would it still be beneficial to use 106FA as a one-step?
Or would M205 be a better choice?
I'll be using my ol' 7424 on Honda paint which has relatively minor swirls.
I've also read somewhere that the P085rd is similar to 106FA, except 106 has slightly more cut, correct?
Thanks in advance for your guidance.

I would go with Menzerna 106FA as the main polish with a Lake Country Classic 5.5" Flat White Pad or CCS HI Gloss 5.5" White pad and then finish up with Menzerna 85RD with the Lake Country Classic 5.5" Flat Black Pad or the Lake Country CCS HI Gloss 6.5" Black Pad. If don't have a Backing Plate for the 5.5" pads then the 6" backing plate will work with 6.5" Lake Country Pads.

As an alternative 1-step polish Menz PO203

Power Finish (PO203S) -

(M) this is a one-step scratch remover polish is formulated for CeramiClear or other ?Hard? paints. It will remove 2500 grit, cut 3.0-gloss 3.5, is formulated as a quick way to polish out light flaws and amplify the paint?s gloss.

With a single step polish once you see it has just started to break-down, either clean your pad or replace it with a fresh one and then continue at the same RPM you left off at, break-down the rest of the polish, and then continue to burnish the paint surface. After a wipe-down process it can be followed with Nano Polish (PO85RD 3.01) using a black pad for lighter imperfections, or for burnishing the surface for even more depth and gloss.

While technically a final or finishing polish in the same category as PO106FA, PO203S Power Finish offers substantially more cutting power, In fact, it is just below Menzerna PO83 Super Intensive Polish in its ability to remove moderate to mild swirls, water spots, and light scratches, and then it burnishes the paint to an ultra high gloss.

Try the LC Orange pad with Menz Power Finish 203S first and if that doesn?t rectify the problem proceed to Menz Power Gloss on LC Orange foam and then clean up with Menz Power Finish on LC White foam.

PO203S finishes down LSP ready on light colours but would suggest PO85RD is needed on dark colours.

Why would you go from 203 to PG if SIP is the next step up? PG is hard to break down with a PC.

All Menz polishes are harder to break down with a PC, they were formulated for use with a rotary

From what Todd told me they where formulated for use with a air powered RO in a factory setting.

IMO, Powergloss and other heavy hitters like 3M ECC should not be used with standard PC. The average person working on their own cars will have a hard time removing the excessive micromarring with a PC that heavier compounds leave.
