Beer

Been slowly going through a case of this:

Beer weather is tapering off though. Just bought a bottle of Knob Creek to kick back with.

Sam Adams winter lager and white Christmas. Winter staples for me.

Did anyone try magic hat circus boy??

Got a mixed 6-pack today. Wanted to try some different beers. All bottles.

2 Sam Adams Winter Lager.
1 Modelo
1 Modelo Negra (Dark)
2. Newcastle Brown Ale (Had these before) Very good.

Picked this up today. By far my favorite cheap beer; $8 a 12 pack!

Although I did pick up a new bottle of Jager to go along with it...

Golden Monkey by Victory has been a huge hit with me as of lately. Made the VERY BIG mistake of trying Sour Monkey by Victory. I am for sure not a "sour" kind of guy. I have no idea how someone can enjoy a sour beer.

Anyone had the barrel aged Chimay? I bought it for a coworker for Christmas, but couldn’t stomach buying one for a bottle. Absolutely love blue label Chimay, one of my favorite things in the whole world.

Nizmo- Gee, so they still make Duquesne! Never woulda thunk it...

Heh heh, IIRC I had five beers this year, all Grolsch swing-tops. That`s one more than usual for me.

Yea they brought it back late 2010 if I recall correctly. It`s just as good as its rivals, cheaper, and is semi local for me. It`s a win all around!

Wish I could say I`ve only had 5 beers this year. Somewhere in the 400-500 range... Most were craft though.

Nizmo- The Grolsch has always been around in my area (well, as best I can recall). Only beer I`ve had for so long I can`t even begin to remember buying anything else. I generally only drink it at certain Jag Club events, otherwise beer just doesn`t do it for me.

Not wild about the taste, absolutely *OPPOSED* to consuming something /anything with, uhm...it`s nutritional profile...and for me it`s an utterly lousy way to get inebriated when that`s the goal.

Heh heh, I probably have over 100 sodas annually (roughly 2/week), but *a few hundred beers* is hard for me to get my head around, even if I did undoubtedly drink that many of `em ~40 years ago.

I have found nothing better than my good old Miller Lite. In the 16oz aluminum bottles. I have never tasted a fresher domestic beer. Had it in the glass bottles, but their is something about the aluminum bottles that put it over the top.

Been aging these since 2013 or 2014, I forget

Cracked one for the holiday

Wow

Surprising you guys get that stuff all the way down there! Made semi-local in my area (well, Delaware, but close enough). I`ll have to see if I can grab some of that, although IPA`s are a summer thing for me. Although ironically the local distributor sells beer from Southern Star Brewing. Tried out their Buried Hatchet Stout and it was amazing! Although dummy me didn`t check the ABV % and it was 8.25%; I tried it on an empty stomach. Ooops.

I am not one for flavored beer etc. But over the weekend for fathers day at her parents house, her brother gave me one of these to take home and try. Hit the porch in the evening and popped it open. WOW!! I never thought it would taste so good. Stupid expensive. I think he told me $45 case. This would be perfect for a hot summer evening outside relaxing. Would I want a case? NO. I would imaging the apple taste would get old after awhile.

Have you had much exposure to hard cider before? While I`m not familiar with the one you posted, I would recommend either the original Strongbow or Smith Forge. Strongbow was popular when I lived in the UK. I had not found another cider I really liked until I got my hands on a sample of Smith Forge one day. Neither are easy for me to find in my area, so I jump on them when available.

I will admit, I`ll only drink hard cider in the summer and will spread out a six pack over several weeks.
