Beer

These are the latest beers I`ve tried. I`m learning to like IPA`s over stouts with the dark beers being too heavy for the climate down here. The Jai Alai is probably one of the better IPA`s I`ve tried.

AGREE. The Yuengling lager was very good. Full body and good taste. Wonder if it`s just as good in cans? Might have to try the black & tan.

I`m more partial to cans myself, so I prefer it in a can. I`ve got the distributor in town hooked on the 16oz cans and they keep them in stock regularly. There`s a rumor you can pick up cases of Yuengling at their brewery for not much money. About a 2 hour drive from here; I smell a Smokey and the Bandit style roadtrip

Can`t decide....

Sitting in traffic for over an hour coming back from Allentown, several of each are going to be sacrificed tonight.

No gatorade, no sodas, well...it`s almost 5 and I`m finally finished with the car...

Been enjoying MILLER LITE PINT ALUMINUM BOTTLES. This light beer really stands out for me. Great taste and FRESH!! Granted, it`s dated JAN17, but man it tastes like right out of the tap. Maybe the later date as something to do with it? Picked up another case today for the long weekend.

I love my sours. Did you age it or did you find that bottle recently? My buddy is trying to age a Tart of Darkness at least a year. I would try to age some but I don`t have the will power.

I love my local distributor! Picked up a 12 of something local (Harrisburg, PA. Paging PA Detailer, lol), and the owner gave me 3 beers to try and review. Already tried the Winter Warmer and Bombshell Blonde. The Blonde so far is my favorite, the Winter Warmer was a bit hoppy for me, it did indeed live up to its name. At 6.9% alc you feel it. The Troeg`s at 8.2 might be interesting. I think I`ll refrain from posting anything on any forum tonight  They had one called Angry Elf which was over 11%. I refrained from that, the last time I had a local brew at that much % I didn`t remember the night...

The Southern Star IPA wasn`t bad, one of the few IPA`s I could actually drink. Now, the Troegenator, that was an interesting one. Very flavorful, has a sweeter taste to it. But I will warn you, the 8% alc WILL sneak up on you. At first you think "oh this ain`t strong, I`ll have a couple more" Nope, don`t do it. After falling up the steps a couple times, you realize it was a bad idea. However, it seems like a good cold weather beer, just pace yourself, lol.

While I`m visiting family in Ohio, my old favorite brewery just released this for Black Friday. At 17.4%, I think this is the highest ABV beer I`ve had. Definitely strong but pretty good.

17.4, good Lord, I think I`d fall down after the first couple!

Has to be the best beer name I have ever heard.

Ohio just passed a law a couple months ago allowing beer to be made with an ABV up to 18%, hence the name. They also have the gavel used for the court ruling hanging up in the brewery.
