Zaino still king? Looking for options?

I've been using Menzerna final polish II+glaze+FMJ or Klasse AIO+SG for awhile and I have fallen way behind in what's new. I do like the "hard candy" shine that sealants give and I know carnubas give a warm glow/feel.

I am thinking about giving Zaino a try for the first time. Are there other products that gives equal or better results?

I have been reading up on Pinnacle Liquid Souveran and Wolfgang, they look quite promising.

This will be on a 2009 BMW Black Sapphire Metallic.

I just cut n paste this from their website, what do you think as my starter kit? I am undecided if the Zaino Clear Seal is worth the cost for such a small bottle? Doesn't Optimum make something similar?

As for ZFX, the dry time doesn't effect me because it's my weekend car. And thanks to a member here, my local nissan dealer sells the whole line at the same price.

Z-16 Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss $12.95

Z-2 Z-2 PRO Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes $14.95

Z-AIO Z-AIO All-in-one $26.95

Z-CS Z-CS Clear Seal $29.95

Z-6 Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray $9.95

Z-7 Z-7 Show Car Wash $8.95

Total: $103.70

I too was looking at going the Zaino route but due to budget constraints I Decided to go with Duragloss instead. I've never used Zaino but from what I've read to the un-trained eye you can't tell the difference between it and Zaino. I used DG101 cleaner polish, 2 coats off DG111, 1 coat of AquaWax and finished it off with The marine detailer 521 and it looks amazing. Super slick and super glossy, perfect reflections and its on white. Duragloss won't dissapoint. You can get it at carquest and I think every chemical they sell is under $10.

If I were looking for a whole line of products it would have to be Pinnacle. I am a wax fan. PS is diffently a top wax. Wolfgang 3.0 Sealant is nice also. Fuzion another good wax. Check'em out.

Oh yeah, Autogeek has a 15% off code EASTER15 and is offering free shipping over $95. They have a kit of Pin. stuff for $199.00 All you need is there.

Zaino Z-2, might be a tad slicker, but I couldn't tell the difference visually between 105 & Z-2. As far as durability between the two, after three months, I decided to apply something else to my car. Both were going strong.

Both are great products, but with Duragloss 105 you get more product, and it is a lot cheaper.

Dodo will be coming out with some sealants here in a little while but while I wait for those very patiently, I use Jeffs Werkstatt for my go to sealant for its looks (it has the perfect sealant look, if your into that sorta thing), durability and ease of use.

I would go Duragloss or Optimum Opti-seal. Both have good durability and can be maintained with a spray wax toper like Aqua-wax.

I also like the hard candy shell look and I get that with Opti-seal. I'd post some pics but I'm too lazy...LOL

Never used Zaino. I''d love too but just haven't felt the need yet.

I love Zaino for the durability. Have not really tried out another sealant, but thinking about picking up the Opti-Seal (since it's cheaper than Z-CS) to put over my current Z-2 Pro.

i was ready to checkout on my opti stuff worth $67, but it seems like you need to buy OVER $95 to get the 15% discount and then free shipping, it's an all or non deal

If you're going to go the sealant route, I vote for Danase Wet Glaze followed up with Finish Kare1 High Temp 1000P sealant. This combo gives me the very best looks, environmental protection, ease of cleaning and *durability* of any sealant I've tried yet. And the best news: it's cheap.

I've been using AIO + SG + any one of Natty Red, Megs #26, or S100 for a while. But I've been wanting to try Ultima. Since it is on sale at Autogeek and they have the Easter discount, now's the perfect time to try it. Can't wait!:spot

but that's no fun ;) life is about experimenting :xyxthumbs

I guess I'm just done experimenting with detailing supplies, especially sealants... 100s of $$ later and it's always back to the true and tried haha

IF I was to try something I would try the Wekstatt (sp?) stuff as I heard good things about them in comparison to KSG for a while now

I say try Zaino first ,then work your way down if you even want to.

Z5 pro & Z2 pro give a great look and great durability , You top that with Z8 or ZCS.

Everyone will have thie opinion on looks in this case no one is wrong. Durability is another thing Zaino is still king. With everything I have tried only DG105/ 601 comes close, but imo Zaino looks better.

I am going to have to try Zaino as I always stayed away for different reasons... I want to test its durability and see if it is in fact that great

zaino is really good about roviding a complete system with very easy to follow instructions....but based on your experience I would go with m105/205 (no personal experience on those yet but feedback here is good) and for a sealnt go with optimum optiseal...it is rediculously slick...it made my porsche slide into a pond..while parked at that...

top it with optimum spray wax or your favorite cocaine infused nuba for the best of both worlds...
