Your favorite tire cleaner

Any diluted all purpose cleaner if needed, works well on my other car's white walls if I get the dirt right away. I'm going to try APC+ at the appropriate concentration next.

I use EF HI for tire cleaning. Looking to find some EO tire cleaner because it's cheaper, but don't see it anywhere.

I think he meant he uses 303 for dressing.

Does Eagle One still make a tire cleaner, I thought they just produced A2Z now? At least that's all I've seen at Autozone and Wal-Mart.

I've tried EF Tire Cleaner, it works really good and the price isn't too bad.

I use 303 to dress the tires, engine, seals and interior. On rare occasions when my tires must be cleaned and scrubbed the basic all purpose cleaner does the job :up

Sorry I meant that I use it for dressing & protecting the rubber. For cleaning I simply use warm water& car soap, with a tire brush.....

Honest mistake apology accepted:ca

That is what I do right now but after many coats of Mothers Duration gel it just does not cut it anymore.:nixweiss :wavey

I tried the EO Tire Cleaner for the first time last week and was shocked how much dirt was on the tire! Definately a great product!

Greased Lightning.

Pulls out the old tire dressing and road grime without effecting tire. Leaves a matt black carvas (tire) that allows whatever dressing I decide to use to look great. This stuff is actually great for deep cleaning of my garage queens clearcoated rims once or twice a year.

Back, what a year or so ago, when Sears had their EO Tire Cleaner on clearance I picked up all the bottles I could find. This stuff is/was Great! I've got a partial bottle left and will be very sad :( when it's gone. Frankly, I haven't tried to find it anywhere else, but I haven't seen it anywhere lately. I'd guess any type of APC(Simple Green, Greased Lightning, etc.) will do a good job as long as you follow-up with a good tire treatment product.

I still prefer Mothers Tire and Rubber Cleaner over the Eagle One. It costs me a bit more, but it seems to cling to the tire better and I like how it suds up very slightly so that I know I'm using enough or not. You're also supposed to hose down the tire, as opposed to a dry tire I'm assuming.

I think EO intends to replace their Tire Cleaner with just A2Z, but I'm iffy on using A2Z all the time on my tires as it sometimes strips out all the old dressing unevenly, leaving the tire blotchy looking on occasion. I'm happy with just cleaning off the surface and not stripping it down to bare rubber, but if I wanted to, A2Z would be what I use.

I find the biggest thing that helps me though, is a scrub brush with fairly fine bristles to get into all the crevices.

I bought Eimann Fabrik's Tire Cleaner and that works very well. I like to see that dirt and old dressings bubble out of tires like that, then clean with a soft sponge. I was going to buy a gallon of it but found that I only have to use it once every 4-6 weeks. :xyxthumbs

Before that I used APC+ 4:1.

Don't be so hard on your self , we never make new discoveries if we allways stick to the same routines(products):wavey

Nope, not being hard on my self at all, just thought it was a shame such a nice product has been discontinued :)

I really enjoy learning and sharing about different products from all of you fine folks here on Autopia. :xyxthumbs

My collection had grown unbelievable this year strictly due to reading Autopia. (Better watch myself)

Thanks again everyone for such great recommendations ! :bow

I found that Eagle A2Z works better on really dirty, brown tires. Like the ones on my wife's Pathfinder. I think it harsher on wheels that EO tire cleaner. If the tires are really brown, I follow up the A2Z with a shot of EO.
