Your process is exactly like mine..
Have also run some Cyans down to thinner than the thin pads they make, and had to let them go..
Hard German paint (Porsche Cayenne) will take them down pretty fast if it`s really scratched.. But they WILL win the fight!
I also clean them (with a clean white towel after every pass), and they last forever before I have to change them out.
And of course, they work better because they are cleaned of old product and dead stuff from the paintwork..
The type of foam they use for these is still the best - it hardly absorbs anything - and yes - they spin like crazy !
And what is the
one thing everyone needs to get best paint correction and finishing ? Yeah,
pad rotation...
I also don`t run high speeds ever on the Makita because I don`t need it either with these pads...

They flat work; and of course with slower speeds, the product you are using has more time to work through its own cycle with the paintwork..
Hope they never quit making them..

We might just be the only people still buying them...
If you ever make the T-Shirt, I will buy a few ! No one but Detailers will ever figure out what it means..
