Shiny Lil Detlr said:Depends on what kind of car you're dealing with. On GMs, I've heard more than one person say that a full-synthetic ATF (Mobil 1 for example) is too thin and will cause gear/clutch slippage in some cars -- most notably I have heard it from folks with 4L60E transmissions.

rabbi said:My car's manual says to change the fluid and filter every 50,000 miles. It reads to only use DexronIII. I'll have it changed sometime before the 50,000 mile mark.
