Hey guys,
I just received my black wheel ShMITT in a few days ago. We've seen a lot of rain this last week, and my wheels were looking pretty bad. I'm extremely anal when it comes to my new car. (2004 BMW 325i) I simply filled a bucket with water and Zaino wash and went to work with the ShMITT.
The pros:
-Cleaned relatively well
-Cut wheel cleaning time considerably
-I've never had such clean tires
The cons:
-The ShMITT is a little too abrasive IMO
-I'm worried about scratching and marring, but I can't say for sure. (Wheels are clear coated)
-It can miss very small spots of brake dust
I wash the car regularly and I don't like to rely on wheel cleaners. (I'm convinced they will compromise the clear coat eventually) I would buy this product again and continue to use it until I notice any marring or scratching. I'd also be willing to recommend this product to other people. Please feel free to chime in and tell me your opinions. Good luck!
P.S. - I have a quick question. I think I may be crazy, but it seems like my stock wheels have gotten a bit "duller" than they used to be. Any ideas?
