Story...
So I drop off a car at a local Good Year here to have the tires balanced and rotated. (2000 Mercedes C230 Kompressor) I get a call to come pick it up, ok. I head down there and it is sitting in the parking lot in front of the building. I go in, sign the papers, get the keys, and head out.
Get in the car, open all the windows and sunroof. Take off down the road. The steering wheel starts VIOLENTLY shaking back and forth. SO bad I can barely hold it. I slow down and turn into an empty lot. While turning, I am hearing metal hitting th pavement and loud clunking. So I get out and look at the back wheel, then around the back to the passenger side, around the front to the drivers side, and BAM....the wheel is cocked in......WAY IN. It was held on by ONE LUG NUT..(actually they are bolts on the Benz)
The Wheel almost fell off
The wheel almost fell off
The wheel almost fell off
The wheel almost fell Fing off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last lug nut on was VERY LOOSE. So I roll the windows up, lock the car, and walk back to Good Year....about 3 blocks. Oh, I was picking up the lug nut(bolts) along the way. I walk in, slam the bolts on the counter, and ask who is going to walk to the car and put them back on. LMAO
Everyone in the lobby is starring....HAHAHA
The retard did not tighten the bolts on the back either, and I was able to unscrew them with my hand. Oh I was pissed.
I was all handled, with a million "I'm sorries"
They would be if the wheel actually came all the way off. Very expensive.
How hard is it to tighten lug nuts. I guess that tire guy missed that day in tire changing class.....The day they learned to tighten lug nuts...he was home sick...go figure.....
