What's your favorite wheel well dressing?

It's been a while since we discussed this and it continues to be a difficult spot on my car.

What do you like to use?

What's your process?

Are there any new products out of quality?

For car shows, Griots Undercarriage Spray. Nothing make the wells look good. Only downsides it that its pricey and is very oily. Not something you want to get on your driveway.

For daily drivers, just about most water based tire dressings. I picked up bunch of TW 2001 Protectorant when Autozone was getting rid of their 32 ounce bottles for .99 cents.

I just got some Stoners Trim Shine and plan on trying that out as well.

Armor All is what I use. I apply with tire swipe. I just spray it on in the deeper areas. Vinylex also works. Mind you, this is for a daily driver.

Armor All. At $9.99 a half gallon at Pep Boys and a nice satiny sheen, it works great. I think it looks pretty good in this pics:

I agree. I use Armor All also. I even cut mine 1:1 with water to make the half gallon last longer cause I go through it fast when using in the wells. Still gives it a nice satin black look. I just spray the entire wheel well after washing them and then go back at the end and even the spots out with a tire swipe.

I am not a big fan of dressing the wheel wells. But of the three or four times a year that I do go to the effort to clean the wells I dress them with Mop-n-Glo. Looks good, easy to apply with a regular household sponge, and lasts.... as long as I do not drive thru a puddle or when it rains, Simple, quick, and easy.

I wouldn' t use 303 on wheelwells, $$$$$

Oops! I guess I should have read the question closer! I thought he was asking about tire dressing!

To answer the original question...I'm not a fan of dreesing the wheel wells, but sometimes it is warranted. In that case I would use Armor-All.

Scott and SR77,

Do you use the regular Original Formula AA in the white bottle? Just want to get the exact blend. :)

Actually, it is called Original Shine if I remember right. Yes, that is what I use.

SilverLexus,

Yep, the original Armor all is what i use too. Usually buy half gallons of it at Walmart and put it into a 32 oz spray bottle.

Ive been using Adams VRT but am anxious to try some Z-16. The Adams gives a nice matte look which can be increased by another application.

SilverLexus,

I just "spray and walk away". It will run and cover the whole well and even itself out. Just try to avoid getting too much on the tires. Then at the end when i am appling the tire dressing, i will run the sponge over any missed spots or drips that are still there.
