What's your favorite wheel well dressing?

SilverLexus,

I just "spray and walk away". It will run and cover the whole well and even itself out. Just try to avoid getting too much on the tires. Then at the end when i am appling the tire dressing, i will run the sponge over any missed spots or drips that are still there.

I do the same thing. I spray the well when I am dressing the tires and let it drip down. One of the last things I do on the car is wipe the wells down with a cheap terry towel.

I use 2:1 dilutted PB Bold n Brite as I do on my tires. Just spray and walk. Everything takes care of itself under there. :xyxthumbs

For car shows, Griots Undercarriage Spray. Nothing make the wells look good. Only downsides it that its pricey and is very oily.

My thoughts exactly. Great stuff :xyxthumbs but probably too costly to use on a weekly basis.

Question for you guys, on some lowered cars, it is hard to get to the wheel wells. How do you apply wheel well dressing then? Without having to raise/jack the car up.

I know some people spray in to the wheel wells, but then I would get AA all over the tires! Which is not good haha.

I use Poorboys trim restore on the wheel wells and it works really good. More importantly to me than what to dress them with is how to get them clean in the first place, especially in the harsher environments some of us live in. I've been using my Meg's wheel cleaner at the same dilution as I do the wheels with, but I'm wondering if something stronger would help with older uncared for wheel wells? Any suggestions?

Ya know, that's a good point. I'm going to be doing three cars soon, summer car, wife's car, big roomy boring slug, and that's ummmm, 12 wheel wells. I think I'm going to look for a cheap / used garden sprayer with one of those wand things and fill 'er up with AA and crank the spray to a nice mist. I'll look for a plastic one and just release the pressure and keep the AA inside.

It'll save tons of time and tons of aggrevation. I get enough of that with the big roomy boring slug.

My to-go well product is AA undiluted. For the tires I'm using now Mothers FX, which looks really nice, but I have a bottle of Endurance Gel which wille be started after FX is gone, and after Endurance is gone, I will try Hyper-Dressing, both for the well and tire... Can't wait for that one to come:hairpull :grinno:

For daily drivers, just about most water based tire dressings. I picked up bunch of TW 2001 Protectorant when Autozone was getting rid of their 32 ounce bottles for .99 cents.

I just got some Stoners Trim Shine and plan on trying that out as well.

That's funny b/c I did the same thing with the 2001 last year. That was great deal. I am now down to my last 4 bottles of now (2 foam and 2 reg spray).
