What's *your* favorite thing on silver?

:) Just like the title says, what do you like to use on silver and what properties does it give it? Reflective, or does it make the metallic stand out?



Pictures would be good if you have them, too. :)
 
I've had a lot of success with FTG and FMJ. Gives silver great reflection and a brillant shine. Used it on a silver maxima and pathfinder. I'll put up some pics in a bit.

Holy whoa....that's really really really reflective.



I don't have any Zaino, but I think I may buy a bottle of the Z2 when my Blackfire goes completely dry. I won't buy any of the other stuff--I want to experiment with Zaino and other products. This picture makes me want it--I bet it topped with #16 or Liquid Souveran--man, it could look realy nice for a show. :)
 
One of my practice fenders for my rotary is silver, sorry guys, I just don't like it, I can't see what kind of progress ( or lack of)I made on it :mad:

You eventually learn to love it, even if it keeps secrets. :)
 
If I remember correctly, this is #80/#20. A very nice combo, IMO.

I recently detailed a Lexus SC430 and a Chevy Tahoe for a client . The Lexus is Millenium Silver, the Tahoe is Pewter Metallic.



I used Meguiar's #20 polymer sealant on them, it really brought out the paintwork's reflectivity! :xyxthumbs
 
I went over the car with #9 and NXT by hand. Then about 3 weeks later went over it again with just NXT applied by PC. This was the result...

I used Zaino and S100 on my wife's Silver Nissan Murano and had a nice liquid metal look to it, I was definetly impressed. Sorry no pics!
 
1Z Metallic PolishWax + 1Z Glanz Wax + 1Z Lackfinish Detail Spray = Liquid-looking gloss.



The 1Z stuff really highlights the metallic flake in paint. In the sun you can see every flake reflect light, I call it the "Bass Boat Effect." If you have ever seen any of those fancy bass fishing boats and how that paint has huge flakes in it then you'll know what I mean.

Does Glanz Wax have any cleaning properties? :)
 
The car is '03.5 VW NB TS, color Reflex Silver.



Currently, AIO x2 topped with LS x2. Lots of reflection, and clear crisp flake.



On deck Poorboys PP topped again with LS or maybe AS. :nixweiss

I can get my hands on some Klasse SG, but not the AIO. Would wolfgang pre-cleaner work fine before?



Klasse SG + #16 is something I could do. I'd have to ask Mike nicely for his SG (he never really uses it much).



Currently I have Vanilla Moose covered with EX-P, covered with Blackfire, covered with #16.

It's in the garage now and it looks better after a wash and some EO wax as you dry (maybe it's the lighting and such that changed it--you can tell it was partly cloudy in the pictures).



Maybe it's my paint--but the "metallic" never seems to pop. It turns more reflective. It's also got the typical honda blotchy metallic in it. :nixweiss



I want better. If it can be done, I'm not sure. :o
