What's *your* favorite thing on silver?

expensive but last a loooong time. The little product goes a long way and the spout is very concetrated.

Currently, I really like Vanilla Moose with a Meguiars polishing pad and Poorboy's EX-P.

Really depends on the shade of silver and whether or not orange peel is present since silver is unforgiving when orange peel is abundant...

Consistently, though.. Z2 on lighter shades of silver, S100 on darker shades.

The best silver pics I've seen had S100/P21S on top. The pics had various initial layers from AIO/SG, GEPC, SEPC, VM, etc. I've used AIO/S100 with very good results. It was very easy to get the dull oxidized paint on a 98 Accord to "pop". It turned from a gray to a bright silver.

I've tried a lot of combos on my silver Max, but i keep coming back to Meguiars No 7 Show Car Glaze and then top it off with Meguiars #26 Hi-Tech Liquid Wax.

Another nice combo for silver is P21S GEPC, WG Sealant, topped with Poorboy's Natty's.

You are so right. On a darker shade of silver (Platinum) Volvo; PB's EX over Meg's #9 or DC Step 2 looks marvelous. I haven't picked up EX-P (yet), but it looks good as well.

I just tried DACP followed by EX-P on a fender of my COntour SVT. I could tell a difference between that and the 2 month old WG on the next panel. Now to top with S100 and see what happens!

OK, I'll throw in my $0.02, since I've had at least two silver vehicles (often five or more) for over twenty years.

Haven't tried EX or Zaino..so I guess I can't say my choice is *best*. And there's a huge eye-of-the-beholder factor here; I, for instance, just don't like how KSG looks on silver (though I use it on the beaters).

I've tried a lot of stuff (other than the PB's and Zaino) including many of the combos listed here (and various Pinnacle, Autoglym, and other combos); nothing I've tried comes close to 1Z PP/MP topped with UPP (formerly Platinum). Side-by-side comparisons with the same silver paint using other products are just remarkable; you'd swear it was a different paint. The 1Z/UPP gives surprising depth for a synthetic and the metallic is just dazzling. Literally blinding in bright sunlight, but not at all "plasticy". But I give a lot of credit to the prep- working the paint until it's as good as possible still counts for 95% of it, even on silver. Still, adding the UPP really made a big difference for the better.

I really like PB's PP followed by EX and topped with Natty's on my Porsche Silver. It really makes the paint reflective & it's so easy to use.

For a darker look I'd use EX-P topped with P21S
