Just being an affiliate can earn up to ten percent.
Many times this is around five percent.
If you are going to be full time with this, you might want to structure
a deal that is more beneficial the more that you succeed.
Your commission growing as you increase company's sales
sounds mutually beneficial.
If the other guy only had 20 contacts, then there is much ground
to improve upon. One of the most important will be how you interact
with the owner. More specifically, how you keep him appraised of your
work so that he understands the quality of work and the hours that you put into it.
If it was me, I would find out his max numbers. How much product would you need
to sell to earn max commission, and how much the max commission could get to.
These are important numbers if you want to plan a future with the company. Your
focus on this will show that you are dedicated to building this.
Plus, if you learn the max numbers, you can structure the percentages that you would
need I for the beginning stages of your relationship. If you never ask, you will never know.
