What have I gotten myself into!

So tonight I decided to take on the ultimate detailing job. You see, one of the girl's I am "seeing" right now has a '98 Hyundai Elantra with 126,000 miles on it. It was never taken care of, waxed, washed hardly. She bought it with 98,000 miles and since then replaced the trans, motor, hub bearings, etc... You can all get an idea of how bad of shape the paint must be. She is now attempting to sell the car, but there is no way it's going to go for the price she wants it to with the paint looking like it does. Extremely heavy swirls/scratches on every surface, looks like someone took 1200 grit sand paper to the entire car, you can barely see a reflection, and the roof is so badly oxidized that you almost can't tell what color the roof is (it looks white). I have before pictures that I will be uploading tomorrow, and some two pass shots of the hood that I did with menzerna IP. Lets just say that even after two passes on the hood the swirls are still very noticeable, although not half what they were before. The hood is all I've had time for thus far, but I'm definitely looking forward to digging right in :woohoo: ... haha what have I gotten myself into :wall



Oh and now she's hinting toward me helping her out (buying her) another car when she sells this one since I'm "well off" (in her words). I'm afraid that won't be happening, I only buy for myself :grinno: so I need to make sure it looks like glass so she can get enough out of it to buy her own car. :LOLOL
 
Damnnn with 3 cars, including a freakin SL65, I would say you are pretty damn well off too...

uhhh no... that's a gold diggin ***** if i ever heard one :) You're not even engaged and she's askin for financial assistance? wth has the world come to? lol You're already spending money (and time) detailing her car for her. She can drive to your house in a 3cyl geo metro rust bucket for a booty call... feel me? :) Just tell her to park down the road cuz you dont want people seeing that car in front of your house :) Anyways... gonna go eat chow and talk to the wife some more :) later folks

I like a deep shine and a matte finish on the interior. I know a little about detailing but i've never used any REALLY good products. Just wal-mart buy kind of stuff.

ArmyZ is right, you don't need money to get a nice looking gal. When I meet women I never tell them what I have or what I make, I don't want someone that I have to buy everything for. This one is an exception, I've been on and off with her for the past 5 years, and cheated on two girlfriends with her, so I guess that tells you she has something good about her. The "golddigger" side has been showing as of recently since she quit hooters, got a part time office job and went back to school. She can't afford anything on her current income. Anyways, enough of the life story that I'm sure most of you didn't need or want to hear, I'm going to upload the pics in a few seconds.



P.S. - Beautiful car ArmyZ, I've always been a fan of the 90+ 300ZX TT! :xyxthumbs
 
I never expected myself to be skeptical of someone but........



if you have a $180,000+ sports car, why are you driving around in a $30,000 daily driver? I would at LEAST be driving a simple BMW 745 hahahah :) If you do post pics of your car, then I will proceed to eat crow for the rest of the thread :D

I had 20 hours of sleep in the last 7 days - I feel I have an excuse :D



However how some english speaking posters spell around here is unbelievable.



Do you approve of him cheating twice with this girl?

lol no i mean those kinds of actions dealing with women spell "douchebag" to me too but i'ts not my place to judge now is it?



I dont sleep much here either... not to mention dealing with the stresses of war ;) but i can still spell amazingly enough. Top Notch... :)
