What have I gotten myself into!

I never expected myself to be skeptical of someone but........

if you have a $180,000+ sports car, why are you driving around in a $30,000 daily driver? I would at LEAST be driving a simple BMW 745 hahahah :) If you do post pics of your car, then I will proceed to eat crow for the rest of the thread :D

I would have no problem with driving a modified CL-S around all the time!

Actually i'm heading to breakfast now. Spanish Style Eggs, Fried eggs prepared to your liking (over easy, sunny side up, over medium, fried hard, or scrambled) Bacon/Sausage (your choice), Oatmeal sweetened with pure honey, any cereal on the known market, a range of juices and milks, coffee, tea, Various and multiple pastries/bagels/baked goods. *deep breath* Hard boiled eggs, freshly prepared omlets (although the eggs come from bags which is kind of weird), fresh veggies and fruit, grits, hashbrowns, pancakes, french toast.

You can basically have any breakfeast item you can think of. Nothing too fancy of course.

The problems we face here in Iraq do NOT start with the Dining Facility. I'd also like to mention the chow hall here is said to be "one of the worst." :)

Of course its not dear ol' granny cooking... so the quality isn't 4-star... but considering where i am... i LOVE the food. :) ta ta

What might I ask is wrong with an Acura as a daily driver, I happen to like the car. I chose the CL over a G35c, and I would pick it over a 745 as well. I personally don't like the 745, not to mention why would I want an $80k car as a daily driver??

Whats a Vortech V9 ?

.... a supercharger.

With all due respect - you sure put the F back in DISFUNCTIONAL

Why is that? I don't have to pick up girl's from hooters, she just happened to work there, what you said doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I didn't come here to get badgered so take a :chill: I'm putting the damn pics up now! :furious:

P.S. - If you've read previous threads of mine, I've had pictures posted of all my cars in the past.

Here are the pictures, you may have to make them brighter, or bigger to see them properly.

P.S. - I could live without the name calling just because I've chosen to date the way I do. Let me clarify, the women I was seeing when I went back to her weren't "girlfriend's", they were women I was seeing without a title in the mix. So I wouldn't consider it "cheating". Who is to say that having multiple partners is wrong in the first place? Just because ancient roman leaders said it was wrong, and make it wrong in the eyes of the people, so that they could have more women for themselves, does that make it wrong? Obviously, when I am eventually married, I won't seek out multiple partners, but for now I don't feel anyone has the right to comment. I was wrong for ever bringing it up in the first place. I'm not trying to be rude, I just didn't appreciate the name calling. So I consider this dropped and lets all get on with our lives. I apologize for my inability to make sense right now. :D

Rummaged through several of your threads, found pics of your Acura which is very nice, but am still searching for the ever elusive SL65 AMG. Once again, I will take back whatever I said once you share with us a glimpse of your baby.

Nothing is wrong with an Acura as a daily driver, but I just figured if you're willing to spend almost $200k on a weekend car, that you'd be willing to part with a little more $$$ for something "better" than an Acura CL-S.

if you like her enough, you should help her :)

He isn't married to her.

I have a customer who is quite well off...Ferrari 355 and 360, BMW X5 4.6, 911, Ducati, Harley and a custom chopper. His girlfriend drives a trashed Windstar. A really, really trashed Winstar. I know because it took me more than 4 hours to detail the interior.

A few months later, it was just like that again, well, worse actually. There was about a foot of trash in the passenger side foot well. He said not to worry, he'd never ask me to clean it again. He also said he will never buy her a nice car until she starts taking care of what she has now.

His mom, on the other hand, has a pristine 1997 SL500 and for Christmas this year, he is buying her a new one.

Back on topic-a 1998 Hyundai Elantra is worth so little, it isn't worth the effort cleaning it up to get another $50 out of it. Filling the tank with gas would probably add more value.

Look through the "Acura just detailed" thread, there you will find pictures of the SL and the Firehawk. (just included them since I saw the requests)

Very impressive before and after scottwax. After looking at those pictures that is about the jist of her interior, it smells like spoiled cappuccino, thanks to her mother who shared the car with her for roughly 4 months and thought it was also her own personal garbage can.

Seriously, that car is worth so little it isn't worth doing much more than a vacuum and one step on the exterior.

You have gotten into exactly what she wanted you to get into. You are well trained, and enthusiastic about performing tasks she designates for you. Sounds like a marriage is in the works. :LOLOL

That is all fine, as long as you are ok with your girlfriend doing the same.

I concede Lars :idea, it's just that there are so many people out there bragging about what cars they own and 99% of the time it's all BS.

This is the second thread today where I've had to remove my foot from my mouth, haha, maybe I should just stick to ghosting these forums like I normally do.

In regards to the Hyundai, just fill it up with gas like Scott said. Then buy her a Civic, that's not splurging too much, if you really like her (and are thinking longterm).

BUY her a civic? lol Man i dont care how rich you are dude... spoiling a woman to an extreme like that is only going to produce the same effect as over-spoiling a kid. For one she wont appreciate the value of a dollar... and 2. when you aren't "giving her what she wants" anymore she'll be less satisfied with your relationship because you took away something that you foolishly created.

Do you know how you ""spoil" a woman?

By treating her like a queen every minute that you spend with her. If that is not possible for you to do, she is not the one for you.

On the other hand, if she was already driving an expensive car and he bought her another high end car, that would be considered spoiling.

$10K - $15K is pocket change to this guy.

Here’s how you can “help her buy a car, don’t drive her to the dealer in one of your cars. :D The second they see your sweet ride all they’ll see is $$$.

PC.

If you care for someone, and have the money, I don't think you should let them drive around in an old POS car. Old small cars are death traps compared to new small cars. I wouldn't get anything luxurious, but a decent, safe car.

Thats just MHO.

Exactly, I'm not advising him to buy her like a Lexus or a Mercedes, just something cheap, reliable, and reasonably safe. If you can spend over $250,000 on cars for yourself, I'm sure $20,000-$30,000 isn't too much to ask.

You can get a civic for half that or a Scion Tc for example.

I know, which just furthers the point that buying her a Civic or tC (great car, I have like 3-4 friends with them) for $15,000 would be a good deal. True, you're spoiling her, but not to an excessive extent.
