What did you do detailing wise today?

Washed off the soap solution they used in the window tinting process. Refreshed Natty`s Blue...

The Camry and S10 got cleaned as well.
that color is just awesome! I`m sure they all don`t look that good

dude tried to pop out a dent, then he rubbed the paint with a shoddy micro..unfixable short of wet sanding

Thanks! Honestly it`s full of fillers, that and Natty`s Blue seems to hide imperfections well. The paint is in terrible shape since I got it; don`t know what they did at the dealer. I`ve experimented on the hood and while the swirls went there are some DEEP water spots like something went awry at the factory. The paint is super hard, so I think I`ll be brushing up on my rotary skills again this coming spring.

I washed the Dakota plus vacuumed out the inside. Interestingly the extension cord that I use for my Metro vac broke...the ground pin came out of the plug.

Been chasin` those fat stacks w/ OT.

Needed some Detail time to unwind and enjoy my
3 day weekend.

Trying to find something comparable to S40 by doing a 2 step on driver`s swirled up doors.

Driver`s got Rupes green, and Carpro Reflect w/ Rupes white pads.
Pass. got Rupes green and Griots Perfecting cream w/ Rupes white pads.

Sealed both doors w/Dodo Supernatural Nano sealant,
Driver got P21S 100% `nuba
Pass. got Dodo Supernatural wax.

Too soon to tell, but Reflect & P21S are standing
proud ! Reflect was a blast, 1 crosshatch done ! Doesn`t need a long working or it dries. Wipe off so easy.
P21S was almost a pain, hard wax that left 1/4 of
the wax stuck in the bottom as it came out of container, needs to warm to apply.
Wipe off was a breeze, then POP ! Dazzling deep luster ! I almost fell off my chair

Had to try this Migliore Frutta wax, so I wiped down the front fender with Dodo SN Micro Prime

Micro Prime smells like Yuck.
I think Migliore has Italian sausage as an ingredient,
smells good and very greasy !

detailed a friend`s new to him 2010 mercedes E350. he bought it from a local dealer and it looked pretty good, but i warned him about the notorious use of glaze. boy was i right, some of the worst top surface etching i`ve ever seen. i ended up using megs 105, car pro essence, and menzerna power lock sealant.

Winter protection for the Jeep!

It really needs a 2 step polish, but with a couple different resprays, not sure if perfection is possible. So, a clay, Meguiars #7, and Poorboys Sealant it was!

Ran out of my old #7 glaze so I had to buy a new bottle. Definitely not the old #7 me and my dad used to use.

Playing with my waxes. 1 more coat each of :

Dodo SN , Really like the user experience, so easy I tend to over apply tho. Def. tub worthy.
Hope it`s as durable as Haze.

P21S 100%, acts like a hard wax, tough to get enough on ap. pad.
So easy after, love how bright & slick.

I look back and can’t believe how much I have developed. This is my second year in business. Now the shelf isn’t sitting in my room where I have to look at it, I made it fit in the closet ad I’m super happy with it

Looks nice but real quick question, weren’t the decals and spoiler matte black originally

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah it’s still not “shiny” just removed that grey oxidation and water spots. The decals were a bit grey so I used 205 on them and it brought them back. I didn’t make those reflective just got rid of hazy oxidation.

Put optimum gloss Coat on the gf’s new Jetta this weekend. I polished with had speed in June when she first got it. Ran it through a touchless, since I don’t have a hose. I clayed it a couple months ago, ironx’ed it last weekend. So after the touchless did a quick nanoskin and ONR wash.

Polished the front nose with Essence and a uro fiber pad. The sun was heating the paint which made working difficult(wasn’t hot out but the sun was bright), and this pad/polish combo didn’t make a dent in the paint- some slight swirls but nothing major, and Essence was no match for this hard VW paint. So, I skipped the polishing of the rest of the paint and just did a standard gloss Coat application for the rest of the car. Car looks great! GC added gloss, color saturation and the paint looks wet.
