What did you do detailing wise today?

Having some trouble keeping
a sealant & wax coat on the hood of my Chevy,
the heat must wear it off fast.
So it gave me a reason to get up at 5:00am
to Uber RW. Then top with

Tried the Twister towels for drying.
Also able to try the freebie Grey Edgeless towels

The Grey Edgeless came into play after
I used this on the hood

My plan was to use
BF Mid. Sun topped with WA Vitreo on left side.
P. Signature II topped with Dodo Haze on Right.

Just in case you didn`t know Mary, some waxes will actually stop working round 2-3 weeks

Thanks Civic,
That`s why the 2x2.
I know the Haze will last over 2 months, with a base of the Signature II which has Montan, might be the trick.
The Vitreo is some tough wax to completely remove (thinkin` Paraffin ?), with a base of BF Mid. Sun German polymers, tough to beat.
All on a PB`s sealant. I`ll give it a couple weeks.
Giving myself time to test out some dif. sealants & wax :chairdance

512...you will be blessed...nicely done

two Autopians ordered some angels today..and they`ll be bottled, shipped and coming together soon to do some shiny stuff

fingers crossed the shipping is still as fast as it used to be because I need these angels before Saturday :)

Washed up this past weekends pads and MF Towels. I like to keep up with things like this but have more than enough to go several details before doing so. Call me OCD this weekend though :)

I ordered some stuff direct from PA last week during their labor day sale. I wanted to get some smaller 200ml bottles to try out - Flake, blackwulfenite, and gold zirkon. I am excitedly and impatiently waiting.

oh man that doesn`t make me feel better about the shipping time

it usually is 4-5 days total after purchase to delivery

yeah I just checked the status of my order online and it is still showing as "unfulfilled".
I am not in a rush, as mine was more for personal use right now anyway.
Hope you get yours by Saturday! You could always follow up with them and ask them to put a rush on it :)

not to sound cocky but they know darn well who I am, lol

and fwiw, their tracking system is laughable, it will prolly show up at your door today

edit- we both put in special notes but either way I`ll wait patiently (somewhat)

Lol I get it. You are kind of a big deal. You probably have a direct line to the PA owner. ;)

I noticed a few weeks ago the foam inside the driver`s seat in our Subaru was starting to breaking down and you could feel the heating coils poking through. So after pricing out a new a new seat @$1500 vs. rebuilding the existing seat with new foam/cover @$800 (both w/ labor at the dealership) I decided to look on eBay for a lightly used drivers seat... $275 later my pre-owned seat salvaged from a 2015 Impreza arrived yesterday looking grubby:

Man am I happy to have a Bissell spotcleaner. Such a useful tool.

The hardest part of uninstalling the old seat last night was getting the 3 electrical plugs under the seat unplugged with one hand while propping the unbolted seat up towards the steering wheel with the other and being mindful the whole time not to bump the horn and wake everyone up! Getting the old seat out/ new seat in was a little bit of a PIA solo but I managed ok. All in all it took about an hour.

Old seat out and time to vacuum....
