What did you do detailing wise today?

Too hot, too humid to do anything.

I thought about detailing. Does that count? (since I should do Jen`s and the Durango and Stephens when he gets here)

Tried out some Sonax Brilliant shine, aptly named. Gave my gold flake a silver tone though, will go to my dark SUV.
Tried some Dodo Future armour 3oz. size, that was sooo good. Wonder if the 500ml. is the same the Pic. looks a different shade :hmmm:

Restoring all the trim on this 2015 Impala with Solution Finish. The cowl came out great.

Took advantage of the nice weekend and got a few things done.

First got rid of some the chrome on my truck because I am not the biggest fan of it. I left a little on there to offset the black and give it that two tone look. It came out perfect. Plasti-dip was super easy to use and an over spray literally peels off like the say it does. After the rain passed by I was able to wash and detail the truck. I wasn`t quite sure about hydro2 but after washing my truck (treated) and another (non treated) the results were clear. Hydro2 is a very nice product.

I had a friend with a damn near new Ram 1500 (7K miles) that was in need of serious help. I did not have time to snap some before pictures but I can tell, she does farming on the weekend it was unreal. I didn`t get as much time with it as I wanted so it only came out about 80% to my liking because the interior took 2 hours just to get all dirt, rocks, mud, dog hair, etc out of it.

my sister has been a dod nurse at a army hospital in Germany for a long time and recently visited me and got excited about detailing. I sent her a good supply of detailing products to get her started and this was her first detail of her own ride. all blackfire products were used (rinseless wash, clay, gloss enhancing polish and blackfire wet diamond) and it turned out pretty nice for her. I think she was surprised too.

detailed write up required........

I`ll do what I can. I do have it for as long as i want since he is finishing up his garage. So far it is going to involve some compounding because a one step is not going to get it done. It`s been repainted so it has a lot of sanding marks.

Coated my wheels with Gtechniq C1. Next, applied DLUX to the plastic trim lining my frunk. Finally, applied some Rupes p808 to the mirrors and hood.

I was transporting some paint and primer and one can leaked in the back of my truck and also leaked on the garage floor.

Optimum Power Clean did a better job the MK37 Hi Intensity Cleaner. I need to get some specific paint remover later today to finish cleaning up the truck. The primer does not wash like plain latex paint.
