What did you do detailing wise today?

detailed a neighbor`s 2014 Hyundai sante fe. cleaned up the finish with megs d151 and a lsp of hd poxy.

I Gave the car a quick D115 wipe down and finished off the glass w/Stoner`s Invisible Glass.

You don`t know heat until you get dropped off in a cotton field with a hoe to chop weeds and you are given an apple, a banana and a gallon of frozen water with a string attached to the handle and told "see ya at lunch time"

Haha! Man!

Ouch,glad I washed the cars today. I wait until the sun gets behind my House, otherwise it`s a bit miserable.
 
I finally got my detailing cabinets reassembled and got the stuff out of tubs into the cabinets..not well organized yet. The task continues. I need to wall mount the master blaster too.
 
Where I am now, no hose washing after 8:30am or so during the summer due to the sun. The garage faces southwest so a lot evening sun.
 
Before 7am would be my choice as well, my driveway is getting hit with Sun by 10am already.

Let me know how that AC works , I have an LG unit in my bedroom and it works well. Are you going to hook the exhaust hose to your dryer vent? My unit seems to have a larger OD hose than the dryer`s.

If it`s a single hose model, and you`ve never used one before, be aware that they create a vacuum, so if your garage door is not air tight you`re gonna have hot air being sucked inside which will mess with the efficiency of it. I had to add weather strip to my bedroom door and tape off the central AC vents because hot air was being sucked into my bedroom at a fast rate and making the unit work harder since the room was warmer more often.

Yes i need to seal the door better for sure. I have a friend (dieselwrench on here) that is going to help me. He grew up doing ACs and I think we have to cut a small hole in the wall for the drain, right?
Well, thats why I found someone who knows what theyre doing anyways.

Nah no need for holes in the wall really. I leave my drain open and got a plastic extension I threaded on there ,then threaded a 90 degree elbow (one side female to thread on extension and other side with a plastic hose adapter) and hooked a clear flexible hose leading to a large piece of Tupperware that I only need to drain a few times a week or sometimes daily depending on humidity. I`ll take a picture and post it in a few moments.

Since yours will be in the garage, I`d use a bucket to hold the water and that`ll buy you more time in between disposing of it which takes a few seconds.
 
Getting a project dropped off early is awesome. Gives you more time to make the customer that much happier. Have fun! And I can`t wait to see that purple sparkle.
