What did you do detailing wise today?

Cleaned my Mom's Altima with the Uber rinseless, tires and Trim with Blackfire AIO Tire and Trim and 2 coats of PA Master Sealant. Door jambs and dash with GDIUDJ. Treated seats with PA Charisma. Lol, where else could I post this and anyone have a clue what I am talking about?:autopia:

Did a PoorBoys S&W to my daughter's Escape today. I already knew this about BlackFire's product but gave it a shot again anyway. BlackFire's Waterless Wash is very difficult to use when it's cold. My results with this product in temps below say 60 degrees is poor. The wax in the product streaks/smears badly when cold. You can eventually wipe it away but the extra swipes with the towel kind of defeats the purpose of doing a waterless wash.

In all fairness to BlackFire it was only 36 degrees in the sun today. I suspect most any product that leaves protection behind would yield the same resut. Though it was chilly, S&W never lets me down. I've used it for many years, it of course doesn't leave the protection that BF's product does but is an extremely easy product to use. I'm of the opinion that while it may not necessarily be someone's first choice in a waterless wash, it is worth trying and perhaps be a tool in their arsenal. Thumbs up for PoorBoys S&W.

they really need some detail centers where you can rent a climate controlled space to work when needed. I think we have a member somewhere in Scandinavia that has a shop like that.

Well what was susposed to be a quick machine cleaning of my windshield turned into a "oh crap" moment when 1/2 through I started noticing small circlular scratches appearing, so now I'm polishing them out with Ceriglass...

Glad I had some on hand... Err.

I'm actually shocked that nobody has made big business out of rentable garage space. For all of us DIY'ers that live in apartments, being able to rent a garage for the day would be awesome .

We had another spectacular day in South Georgia. Mid 70s and medium humidity. So I decided to wash and PBL coat my rims. I also wanted to tryout some TW tire coating I picked up for $10.99. Of course I wound up getting the car wet so a one hour project turned into a 3 hour wash. Since the weather was beautiful I didn't mind and the 370z is now spotless. The TW tire coating stuff looks good, maybe on the shiny side. Tomorrow I'm going to spray the fabric top with 303 Fabric Protectant and redo the windows.

Angus, what caused the circular scratches? Something embedded in the pad?

Yeah I think so. Passengers side was totally fine and then all of sudden it was scratch city right in the middle of the windshield. Irritating too since I took the time to fully foam/wash/clay the entire car in an effort to avoid picking up debris in my pad. Anyhow, the scratches are gone now thanks to Ceriglass. Just finished coating the windshield too with Wolfgang Uber. Looking forward to seeing how it performs as a glass coating.

A balmy 52 in the garage this morning. Decided to do a waterless wash with UWW+ and a wipe down with BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Polymer Spray. The Blackfire Polymer Spray is a very nice topper to my winter protection of FK1000P.

Detailed the gf's car. Light polish with Sonax hybrid npt paint cleaner. Polished the windshiled with wolfgang and coated with PBL. Also polished the window panels. Topped the paint with Colli 467. Dressed tires with opti-bond.

also had a blue HT pad explode on me. Ran at speed 4 on the Rupes and was in good starting condition- had only been ised twice. Out of nowhere it literally blew apart. Crzy

Used menzerna 3-1 to tackle a 2011 Ford Edge that needed some love. Here's some 50/50 shots!
