What did you do detailing wise today?

Good to see I'm not the only one who details non car items. Here's an air compressor I recently replaced, figured I'd clean it up and give it away to someone. Nothing crazy with it but I just extensively cleaned it, polished with Nevr-Dull and the trim got Gtechniq C4.

Waiting for the sun to come up so I can wash & detail my Rav.

Going to be using all the new products I just recently bought including the 1/2 gallon foam gun.

Going to be using CG's Citrus & Gloss in it and was wondering if I should add 3 oz and fill the rest up with water. (???)

Also going to be trying out the 1z interior kit and will be sure to get all the rubber around the doors etc…

I'm actually excited to wash the car this morning! :D

Hello mnehls86… I picked it up at Lowe's for about $45. :)

As you can see, I had to make the three individual sectional pieces by cutting 3/4" plywood to size and then wrapping them each with thick black plastic.

Next, I went ahead and stapled the plastic to the plywood pieces so that it would stay nice and snug to the plywood.

Then, I just slide the plywood pieces in the side grooves of the container to make four individual pockets. (last pic)

Everything I need fits perfectly as there is plenty of space.

The weather was beautiful today so I got my Dodge Ram all prepped for winter.

Wash with DG901
Interior dressed with PERL 3:1
Hydro 2 on wheels
Windows treated with DP Glass Coating
LSP=BFCS

I also humped all my detailing products to the basement in prep of the "Polar Vortex". Hate that job :wall:wall

DG rinseless using garry dean method and DGAW as a drying agent - I've got this down to about 10 minutes weekly....CquartzUK is about 9 months old, and still looks great. I'm giving up on reload. I don't think I'll ever deviate from this DG procedure - car looks like glass:

Awesome. Thanks for the pictures too. That was a great idea with the wood. I'm definitely going to pick one up.

Yesterday did a 2 bucket wash on the CR-V and Hydro2'd. Started a little before 6a.m. it was around 40° with some wind. Damn near froze my toes off, I guess I shouldn't have been washing in flip flops when it's that cold.

OMG. bEAUTIFUL TODAY!! It was warm at 9am. 50-55. Escape got a good wash/detail. Used up the last of my aqua wax during the drying.

It misted all day today (not the rains they predicted). It should be better tomorrow and if it is over 50, I will try to wash some cars.

washed and bfcs a friend's Nissan quad cab pk and his wife's infiniti fx 35. I coated both about a 6-7 months ago, OC 2.0 and duragloss enviroshield respectively. both showed a reduced beading ability (the OC2.0 more so), but still cleaned up very easily. the bfcs took a little longer than usual to apply to the coated surfaces, but added more gloss when I was done. sorry no pics, it was getting dark when I finished.

I cleaned up the interior in my 99 Pontiac Grand Prix. The dash was cleaned with Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer and topped with Meguiar's Natural Shine.

The seats got Meguiar's D103 at 10:1 and the sealer from the Leather Sealer System. These are the original leather seats.

No before/after pics but....

Finally washed the van, decon front clip, all glass and rear hatch with nano sponge (ran out of light) and (due to time constraints) Lucas quikmist.

This was my first time with the nano sponge and it definitely is worth the trade off of more work for not having to trash it after a drop. Also covers more surface area.
