What did you do detailing wise today?

I was getting ready to wash and polish my daughters 2011 Elantra Limited but remember I needed to change a couple of floodlights up on a pole in my yard. The pole is rather old and it's been there for as long as I can remember

I was up on my extension ladder, about 12 to 14 feet off the ground, when I heard CRACK, SNAP and the pole itself had broken at the ground level and was now falling along with me and the ladder! I climbed down as quickly as I could but at about 9 feet I had to jump, kicking left and came crashing down on the lawn. I twisted my left ankle, bruised my hip and shoulder, and bumped my head on the ground....and the pole just missed the front of Stacey's car!! :passout::passout:

I never did got to wash and polish her car but I no longer have bulbs to change....:lol2:

You lead an exciting life BobbyG :rockon

Wow, Bobby. Hope you aren't hurt too bad.

I'm fine Mike, just a little unexpected excitement in life.....:bigups

My wife did come running though but when she got there I was brushing myself off. Realizing I wasn't really hurt I made sort of a joke out of it..... my wife wasn't laughing though......

Wow Bobby!!!

I am really glad to hear you are ok.

On a side note I did manage to wash 2 of our cars and do a layer of Sonus Acrylic Glanz on my car.

its been nice that the last 3 weekends have been ok for washes/details here in PA. but i see next weekend rain/snow 32 degress. :(

:wow: hope your ok bobby!!

First off, I am glad to hear you are okay Bobby. 9 feet and only a few bruises.

Well I know I didn't do anything that exciting but did get to try out DPRW&G this afternoon that I received in my shipment the other day. Got the car clean.

Dean. :rockon

As an umpire, from march to october, its imperative I carry my full gear load every day, uniforms, gear, shoes.....this weekend it was time to clean the trunk from top to spare tire...

So my friend has a Aviator that he NEVER washes.... I needed some practice and pictures to help my business so he let me do some work on his car. Sadly his wife had to rush over to her moms so my session got cut short:wall. I was able to clean, clay, and polish one of his door panels to prove I could remove his scratches by hand. No machine, just some Meguairs polishing compound and a applicator pad. He loved the end results, but now hates that he can see his factory orange peel, lol. I told him get use to that.

By hand it would take all day to polish all the scratched out that I can. Of course there are still some deeper scratches that cant be removed by hand. Compared to how many scratches there was before, sucker looks brand new. Hoping I get a new DA for Christmas:rockon
