What did you do detailing wise today?

Already washed my car. My mom is coming to visit and will do hers later. Trying to get a Pinnacle Liquid Souveran model for the early afternoon.

Tomorrow's forecast is to turn cold and stormy.

It is currently around 40 F here but should be above 70 F.

The weather here today is gorgeous, Al. Woke up early to finish a Lexus LS 460. Left BFWD on overnight to cure. Removed that and put a coat of BFMS on. Finally done after 2+days.:dance1

wow! too nice out. even warmer tomorrow. after looking at it i could not resist. threw another coat of BF crystal seal on. :bigups

It was nice here too. The temp topped out at 54 degrees with bright sunshine. :bigups

I was in New Jersey and New York for a few days and drove down in the snow and sleet. The hurricane destroyed that entire area and the damage is widespread.

My new Jeep got a wash, vacuum, glass, and Duragloss Aquawax the exterior for a rich glossy shine....:bigups

Last night I washed my car with Blackfire rinseless, applied Blackfire tire gel to the tires and vacuumed the interior.
This morning I applied a coat of Dodo Juice Purple Haze Pro to the paint and put some Blackfire crystal seal on the wheels :)

Great weather in Dallas. Completed detail of co-workers Audi. Write up and pictures to come later in a post. It sure is easier and faster with an adult helping!

It was perfect day here in NC with sunny skies and temps in the low 70's.

After cleaning the interior windows on my daily driver (goal to wash tomorrow), I ended up washing the Dakota with my Race Glaze wool mitt with Pinnacle XMT soap (1 oz per gallon) on the paint and CG Glossworkz on the tires/wheels. Pinnacle is a well balanced soap: sustaining suds but not excessive, good lubricity, rinses nicely, and cleans well.

I also experimented with Do Do Juice's Time to Dry Detailer (a review coming) then finished up using Mothers Spray Wax on the paint. It is as easy to apply as many detailers and has legs (durability beyond the next wash). I did the jambs with CG Speed Wipe. I will do the tires/wells and glass tomorrow.

Yesterday I applied OC to half my car, I'll do the rest another time. Doing a comparo on my hood of OC vs. 22ple, we'll see how that goes.

AQUAWAX. what a hidden gem. good in the colder days after a wash. i still have some left. i was going to use it today, but figured i would BF seal it.

I examined 2 new door dings on my truck. Monday I get to spend some time removing paint transfer. Yay! :(

I started a full on correction on a black bentley GT speed. You know as many times as I've seen it I can still not get over the fact that from the factory a 250k car has so many defects..... its just silly.....

Bump..

I did place an order a few days ago at AG that arrives on Monday and will get an order in tonight.

I was getting ready to wash and polish my daughters 2011 Elantra Limited but remember I needed to change a couple of floodlights up on a pole in my yard. The pole is rather old and it's been there for as long as I can remember

I was up on my extension ladder, about 12 to 14 feet off the ground, when I heard CRACK, SNAP and the pole itself had broken at the ground level and was now falling along with me and the ladder! I climbed down as quickly as I could but at about 9 feet I had to jump, kicking left and came crashing down on the lawn. I twisted my left ankle, bruised my hip and shoulder, and bumped my head on the ground....and the pole just missed the front of Stacey's car!! :passout::passout:

I never did got to wash and polish her car but I no longer have bulbs to change....:lol2:
