What clay and lube do people use

Once you've washed your car but not yet rinsed, isn't there still dirt on the car? I would think that claying before rinsing would be inducive to marring.

It's very aggressive. I would only use for a car that is really bad or has some major overspray.
 
I just tried GG's yellow clay /w the clay holder pad for the PC. It worked great ! The pad stayed moist enough and never had any problem with sticking. Cleaned the car efficiently and thoroughly. Used GG Speed Shine for a lube. Since I was following with AIO, I used the speed shine because I suspect GG products to be primarily intended for Waxes, and any wax artifact chemical would be removed anyway. First chance I had to use my Christmas gift.... (Griot made a statement in his catalog that sealants were not desirable, so I surmise that his products are wax centric) Many of his products are great, but He says he doesnt like sealants...sooo... GG's Clay is soft,and mild, no sticking or marring, very light abrasive action.
