What are your *TOP 3* Beauty Waxes

I am not sold on them being the same product. Same packaging and from same plant, but the texture seems a little different to me.

Josh is always questioning this stuff isnt he ??

I'd go for

1.Swissol Concourso

2.Zymol Glasur

3.Pinnacle Souveran

Right now, in no particular order, its...

Zymol Japon

Nattys Blue

Collinite 476S (I know this is a beauty wax thread, but just because its durable doesn't mean it can't look good at the same time) :)

I have some Petes 53 on order, we'll see how it performs against the above. What I really enjoy about a good 'nuba is an insane hydrophobic beading/sheeting action. Something that most sealants don't offer.

Sorry with a late reply... I have used CG'S 53 on 4 different cars, my car which is medium blue, a flat black, a silver, and a dark metallic green. The look was pretty "clear" to me but IMO it lacked depth and wetness that Souveran provides. Also, I havent had this happen in a loooooong time, is that im pretty sure I buffed off the wax, but a few days later 1 inch wax residue built up reappeared in certain areas that Im VERY sure I buffed off. I have never had this with other waxes. This was a problem back in the day with some other products such as SG and a few others that had "magically" re-appearing dried residue. For some reason the look the wax gives didnt provide that WOW factor even after properly prepped paint. Also the beading charateristics seem to drop off just after a week of decent amount of rain and pollen. Souveran has better beading IMO initially for the first 1-2 weeks.

I had very high expectations of this wax especially for the price and its listed content of ingredients. So far its been dissapointing to me. This of course if simply my opinion. I will probably give the wax a few more tries before selling the rest to someone who likes the wax.

Souveran, Zymol Atlantique and Victoria Concours in that order. I think the Souveran has the best deep, wet look, but the reflections provided by the Atlantique are 2nd to nothing else I've tried. Wish I had more than just a sample of it. Victoria is very close to the Zymol EG look in my opinion. Also, honorable mention to CMW.

Do you know for fact that it is the same thing? According to you, if it looks the same and smells the same, it is the same thing...Let it go buddy.

Hey, that sounds like a very good reason not to like Pete's 53. Thanks for sharing. I have not had the problems with 53 as you have. Do a spit shine with 53 and use a QD like FK425, Quickshine, or a QD that leaves some kind of gloss. Lightly moisten and mean lightly and lightly moisten car a panel at a time you are working on. Then apply the 53. This should help the problems you are having. ZOOM-ZOOM <><

MDRX8,

I have to agree with you, it was a little disappointing to me. I still prefer the 50/50. Tried the 53 twice and then traded my tub.

Geez it's early Mon. Morn.....I meant to say lightly moisten applicator pad and panel you are working on. LIGHTLY......

Depends how much you are willing to spend.

IMO - I dont like Pete's 53. I may be the only one on this board, but I have used a lot of different waxes and Pete's 53 is probably my least favorite.

What don't you like about it? Have you tried 5050?
