Weight Loss Thread!

Yea, its getting dangerous 4 sure. I would advise just eating the cardboard box instead of the ingredients :judge:

 It probably has more nutritional value!

Localharvest (org) and Eatwild (com) have been two good resources for me. I make a monthly trip to a local grass fed beef farm about 40 min away (they also sell other local farms pork, chicken, eggs and dairy). For vegetables we're going to do a CSA... and fortunately for me there is a large farmers market not to far away.

OK boys and girls... I just hit the 70 pound milestone. In January I weighed 310, now 240. Complete lifestyle change.

No sugar, no flour, no bread, no pasta, no rice, no potatoes.

Determination.

Way to go man! 70lbs is getting into "I don't recognize him" category for people who haven't seen you since you started.

I need to step up my dedication like you have...

Great job Bill !

You are setting a great example for yourself and others !

Sum whole long grain brown rice is good for ya, just adjust your carbs that day, ever see a fat oriental ?

Great job Bill. I was inspired by your thread, so as I said above, I hit the gym, changed my eating habits (got a great plan online) and am down 7 lbs of the 20 I wanted to lose already.

Way to go Bill.

I am very proud of you. You are proof positive that it can be done.:Dancing Dot:

Thanks Barry... Determination is the answer. I will never go back there again.

I've added a lot of carbs back in the last month. Whole wheat toast, apples, strawberries, broccoli, whole wheat pasta, etc. Just using portion control.

Go for it. Then stick to it.:Dancing Dot:

Nice job Bill!

I hope Bill doesn't mind... but he emailed me some before and after pics and I thought I'd post them

:D

Seriously though, way to go man! I'm down 20 in the same time you've lost 77! I need to clean it up more, and start working out. I have about 40 more to go to be where I want to be.

Rob

EDIT: Just wanted to mention, I'm not making fun of the guy in the first pic... just googled "double biceps pose" and grabbed two off of what popped up. Looks like he's doing a "Halve me" challenge that he imposed upon himself and has lost a bunch of weight. Good on him too!

Hey Rob... Thanks for posting those pictures of me!!! I misplaced them and wondered where they went!

Thank goodness you were able to recover them for me!!!!!:D

Keep up the good work on the diet. Not everyone is as compulsive as I am.:o:scared:

Bill, Congrats on your progress! :notworthy:

2 weeks ago my wife and I started on a low carb diet. So far I have went from 253 to 237. Both of us signed up for gym memberships the other day too. Signing up was the easy part. :)

Once we start working out, will add some good carbs.

Congratulations Bill on your weight loss. I bet you feel like a different person having lost all that weight. Its gotta be beneficial not only to your heart, but to your knees, back and feet among other body parts :)
