What would be your dream car to detail on a Saturday afternoon?

You get to drive it of course!

I would lean towards a Hummer, but an old Dusenburg(SP??) would be cool too.

Oh wait. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! What a car! how do you clean the propeller blades?

A certain perfectly restored (to factory condition) 1967 Corvette Stingray I once stared in awe at as it just...idled... But I wouldn't delude myself that I would ever be able to drive it. The owner was offered 150K for it once and turned it down. And that was several years ago.

Me, I'll take a D-Type Jaguar.

no thanks to any of the above, besides i've already detailed a Hummer b4 and it was a pain in the kisser. my dream detail car would be - just about any Ferrari. 365gtb4, 250gto, 250 california spyder(Ferris Bueller), 308, testarossa, 328, 348, f355, 288gto(MY FAV), f50, f360, 550maranello, 550 barchetta. i'm fortunate to say, i already do detail some of these on a regular basis, but the only driving i get to do is in & out of the driveway or garage. still pretty damn cool though. i'm living my dream - it's AWESOME!!!! AHHHHH! The sweet sound of that Ferrari V8/V12 as it starts up and then through the revs. What a symphony - better than any song on the radio.:up :D

someone that lives around me has an 02' 911 turbo, i see him driving it around and parked at the country club all the time. i've been thinking that if i catch him i'd ask him if he needed a good detailer, that picks up and drops off of course:D that is indeed a beautiful car. it's a dark blue btw.

hey prinz have you ever seen or read about a koenig bbi. absolutely incredible car.

For me, it would have to be a Mercedes-Benz CL600. It's sporty, classy, and luxurious. What an unbelievable car!

Bill, I love the MB CL's. They truly are distinguished from the rest of the MBs, yet maintain that unmistakable look.

My dream detail would be the BMW Z8.

I would love to do a '69 Mach 1. Then just drive around town in the cleanest looking, baddest sounding car around!

:bounce

I am not really a sports car man, I prefer the luxury cars. My dream detail car would have to be a 2002 Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph.

Of all the cars I have seen and worked on, Rolls is by far my favorite. Someday I will hopefully own one..........Someday :)

A fully restored black 1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible complete with the suicide doors.

My dream car.

Brian

Pretty much any type of modern day Formula 1 car for the last 20 years. Probably something from the late 70's like the Lotus 78 or 79. Several of the Ferrari's and Williams' would also be on the list.

Of course, for production vehicles, pretty much any Ferrari. The Hummer would definitely be out...too many rivets to clean!! It would drive me nuts!!!

Also the Lotus Esprit. Another classy chassis!

Without a doubt

Nuff said... :D

I'll be spreading my PPCL all over this 300 pony powered "beach wagon" as soon as it's available, but in black. Have to get the kids around somehow.

Brian 330Cic: I know a guy who owns a bodyshop in Eastern Kentucky who has one of these just sitting behnd his garage. I asked him about it and he said the transmission went out and he parked it about 15 years ago. He said he drove it almost every day up until that. The top is totally gone after all these years but suprisingly the body is still in great shape. However I don't know about the frame since the ca has been sitting in the grass so many years.

Definitaly a neat (and huge) car. Before anyone asks the guy said he wouldn't sell the call.

Twin Turbo 512 BBi? :insert drooling smiley:
202 mph, 3 second 0-60 time......

I recall having one of the best pics of that car in college. I snagged it out of Road and Track when they tested that car.
Man, I miss that picture. Anyone know how to get that back?
