Anyone else subscribing? I've received the first issue.. looks pretty good. I think it worked out to about $18 USD via PayPal, for an annual subscription.

I just tried accessing the website, but I couldn't get on. It's restricted. What's the magazine about? (Beyond the obvious title)
 
If you get on don't subscribe! It was a magazine some guy named Simon was starting. Issue one came out way late. then issue two was way past the deadline and nobody could reach him at all. He had a ton of excuses. Then nobody was getting issue three and he would not return emails and he claims he does not have internet. Why he could not go to a library or a friends house is beyond me. Then we heard he folded. So everyone who bought subscriptions got raped and people who bought advertisements got raped harder. Nobody can get a hold of this guy or anything.
 
i heard this story. it's too bad because among the car mags I get today I would love to have some ummm er reading material related to detailing.

There are but they are geared toward the professional car washing and express detailers. I used to subscribe to two of them but did not care for a lot of the people who wrote the detailing articles. They ended up just being a commercial for the authors business.

Bud Abrams has some decent advice about the business end of detailing but most of the articles specifically about detailing procedures were very basic and things one should already know if they are detailing professionally. At least the magazine is free to pros.

I hadn't even thought of advertisers losing out on their money. In essence, I only lost out on $10, as I received the first two issues. I'm therefore not too upset. But $500--that's a different matter.

And I'm guessing there are quiet a few advertisers as well that lost out.
