M26 darkens the darker colors, not lighten it. At least, that's from what I've heard and from my own experience.
Z5Pro is supposed to mimic the carnauba look, giving a more subdued reflection compared to Z2Pro. I've had Z5Pro and Z2Pro on my mom's Charcoal metallic E320 and, personally I like the crisp reflections you get from Z2Pro as opposed to the softer reflections from Z5Pro. It's your choice on what kind of look you like. From what you've said, I'm guessing you would like Z2Pro better.
