I have and continue to although the availability and quality of the mitts is very variable. You really do need to inspect each one to see if they are soft enough. Sometimes none of them are. For the fun of it, since I haven't seen any decent ones in about a year, I saw some the other day and out of 10 on the shelf, only 2 were acceptably plush. I bought those even though I have a very ample supply already.
I also recently took advantage of an online gift certificate from autoanything.com. The mitt was $15 so I used the certificate to get that. When it arrived, I saw it was no more or less plush than my $5 ones. In fact, the only difference was the color of the cuff:brown rather than green or black like mine have.
From reports read here, it sounds like sheepskin goods websites sell ultra heavy/plush mitts. You should look for something that weighs more than the 4 oz. average of the Eurow Wal-Mart ones if you're interested in those.
