Besides the Lobster & Salad (which was a big hit), I made a CD of some clips of sappy love songs (Oh Donna, Beth, Sarah, Carrie, Hey Jude), and me and a friend went to a recording studio and everytime the singer says "Beth" or "Sarah" or whatever I put my wife's name in, "Kerry." I didn't sing it, in fact I did it as monotone as possible.
And Friday I was give a speech at a Valentines Dinner (I followed the comedian-tough gig), I did the talk ("A Brief History of Romance") and at the end I played the CD clips. It got a good laugh, which is what it was for, but then I read part of a Bruce Cockburn* song to her, which got the "ahhhhh". Great power you have with a mic.
