Gotta say its a nice product. I was alittle apprehensive going into this as Ive been a hose&bucket guy since I was a tot.
My Jeep wasnt dirty at all. I washed it around a week ago and Ive not driven it since. It did have water spots and ash all over it. Neighbors have been burning dead trees and such for the past week.
Since ash is fairly abrasive, I went ahead and sprayed the entire Jeep off with filtered water from the hose. Whenever I do use ONR, Ill probably do this anyway as it can only help. I also washed the tires with Bleche white with the water hose. Fender wells were still clean and I washed the rims last with ONR.
I did use the 2 bucket method but it wasnt really needed. I only needed to rinse my mitt off once or twice when I did the roof and the hood as they were still covered in ash even though I sprayed it off.
One thing that kinda upset me, I just got 3 California Drying Towels from ADS and they wouldnt glide at all when i dried the ONR. They just stuck to the paint. I grabbed some old Megs WW's and they did just fine so idk what was going on. Once the paint was dry the Cali towels glided over the paint just fine. I waxed the paint on Dec 20th with NXTv2 so its still nice and slick. My brother washed his Jeep the day before using the traditional bucket+hose and he said the cali towels worked great.
I used a 1/4 cup for 4 gallons of water per the ONR container. Thats 1oz per 2gallons of water.
Paint looked great afterwards as I expected.
Overall thoughts-I like it. I would not use it if my Jeep was actually dirty and I couldnt at the minimum spray it off at the coin-op or at home first. It seemed to make the water sheet which was nice since it was sunny out. Didn't let it spot at all if I couldnt dry a section in time.
It did save tons of water and some time. Im sure I could wash it alot faster with ONR over the hose but this was my first time so it took longer.
