Used M95 for the first time today...

Heh heh, I'm *far* from an expert when it comes to the rotary!

Perhaps, but you obviously know what works and what doesn't!

You're doing something a *LOT* better than I did  I was using a product that finishes out OK (1Z Intensive) and I got some pretty hideous holograms. Too much product/too little work time probably had a lot to do with it.

Hmm. I know that holograms are a possibility with the PFW, but I sure didn't seem to get any with the SIP.

E2K Lambs Wool 6" Final Finish

I'd get them from that link. You can get them if you call AG, but they have a history of not sending the correct pad, or not even knowing that they can sell them. The six inch finishing wool isn't available on their web site. If you get them from the Geek insist on Edge item number W624.

Ah, you really are costing me more money, aren't ya! I've got to get the E2k adapter too, don't I? :doh

Doh! Yup, you gotta have the adaptor. If Edge made a PFW equivalent, I'd never have to take the adaptor off through a whole detail. Switching between the edge adaptor and a backing plate is a nuisance.

So nobody makes a white wool finishing pad for use on a backing plate? Or are they just not as good as the one Edge makes?

Someone found this one.... Classic 8" Lambs Wool - Ultrafine Finish last week. Wish I could remember who it was off the top of my head to give proper credit.... Anyway, it's an 8 inch pad, but it's too big for me. I have tried and tried to use eight inch pads, and I'm just not good enough.

I wonder if Edge would make a six inch one if you asked them to. I think I remember seeing somewhere that they would make pads-to-order.

Although I'd much rather have a PFW equivalent in a 2k double sided six inch pad.

dumb question here speaking of rotaries do you put pressure on it when polishing like you would a PC? I mean I put 15 - 20 lbs of pressure on the UDM at max speed what type of pressure are we talking at 1000rpm - 1500 rpm with correction?

and I think I might try the 3.5" PFW and M95 via UDM this weekend or next.....

Bedo, I start out with about an additional (to the weight of the buffer) five pounds of pressure for the first couple passes, then gradually ease off til it's just the weight of the buffer for the last pass or two.

You guys think Mr. Bee costs you money? He orders the stuff for me! He's an enabler! :D Soon things will just show up on my porch with a childs drawing of a bee on the box. Hah.

Speaking of which. If I like 105, and I am sure I will, I may take you up on the 95, crazy UPS shipping and all. :D

Just because I used crayon doesn't mean a *child* did it, sheesh. ;)

Yeah, I don't know if a 8" pad is going to work for me either. 6.5" seems just right. Then again, I haven't tried an 8 inch pad yet, so who knows....but that does seem to be pushing it a bit.

OK, nobody has posted on this in a week - and I just found this thread when I was searching for more info on 95, I read the whole thing again and I found myself wanting to buy 95 and some PFW's. Accumulator will understand why... LOL!

I compared M95 and M105 last week and both are great compounds. I prefer M105 because it's very fast and I found that it left a better finish than M95.

I used M105 for the first time this past week also. All I can say is WOW!!! The correction I get it out of it on the first pass is very impressive. I followed it up with IP and UF and the results are nothing short of flawless. I have never tried M95 but can't say that I will anytime soon.

Maesal, i hope your experience with M105 stays that way... I initially thought that 105 left a great finish, then used it on another car, and I had a hard time getting it to finish out as well. M95, otoh, has finished down wonderfully for me everytime so far as long as I take the time to break the stuff all the way down til it's clear. These new Megs compounds just rock.

Hi SuperBee,

yes, this compounds are just amazing !! :bow

Would any of you be able to tell me how the M95 or even the M105 compares to Menz PowerGloss using a Flex DA and PFW pads. Can't get M95 or M105 in Canada so before I order from US I'd like to see if you can give me some sort of comparison. Thanks in advance.

I hate to keep posting the same thing, but...

Menzerna Power Gloss is a hand grenade

M95 and M105 are nuclear war heads.
