I tried a few combos of pads/polishes today to get rid of the hazing and.......Voila! it's gone(on one panel at least).
What I did was polish the car inside my portable car garage with a 500w halogen light shining on the finish. It was a tight fit with me and the car in the garage, but well worth the effort.
After close inspection under the halogen light, I realized that I still had quite a few light-to-moderate scratches(no swirls) in the paint. I tried SSR1 with both a white and orange pad, with no luck. So I brought out the big guns......SSR 2.5 and an ORANGE pad!
After 2 (yes 2) passes, 99% of the scratches were gone! Then 1 pass with SSR1/white pad and 1 pass with PWs/white pad and the finish looked silky smooth!!!
Now that I've got the magic combo....Monday's polishing should be a piece of cake. It'll probably take me 3+ hours, but the results should be well worth it.
