Understanding Menzerna

I have tried Menzerna with the pc and the polish dust alot, but with my rotary, it didn't does one bit. I think Menzerna polish are the best for rotary and good for the PC.

I am for sure ordering some SIP but I was planning on following it up with Z-AIO and then Z2pro. Now Im thinking I should go SIP, 106 and finish it off with Z-2Pro. Suggestions?

Using Z-AIO after 106 will propably help prepare your surface for Z2Pro.

Id like to use ZAIO as a prep coat but I think its just too much. Doing SIP then 106 then ZAIO then Z2pro. Could I leave out Z-AIO and still get the most out of Z2 pro?

I agree. Z-AIO is a good prep for Z2 even after the 106. After all this work this one AIO step will not take long :heelclick

Always mist menzerna with water to keep the dusting down.

Im trying to think if I really need the 106ff. It would be a follow up coat to the SIP used with an LC orange pad. I think SIP, Z-aio then Z2 pro will be enough. If the SIP removes most of the swirls and light surface scratches etc. done with 2 coats wouldnt that be sufficent for the paint correction? Then the Z-AIO as a solid protective, base coat for the

Z2pro. And the 106ff is called a final polish but the Z2 pro will really be my final polish so I dont think I need it.

Z2 isn't an abrasive polish. You will need something to finish after the SIP if your car is a darker color. 106ff is a good idea in most cases after SIP.

Tell us so that we can help. Why are you trying to skip steps? If you are going to be doing all of this work anyhow you should do it right the first time, because if you skip steps you are not going to be pleased in the end. So what is the issue and why do you want to skip steps.

Im not looking to skip steps or cut corners at all. If I was I wouldnt be wanting to spend the extra money on Zaino and Menzerna products in the first place. I simply thought that it would be fine to replace 106ff with ZAIO or visa versa but now I undertstand that its best to follow up the SIP with 106FF and use the Z-AIO and a base coat/prep for the Z2pro. After browsing around on the Zaino website I kept seeing that Z-AIO is the perfect prep for the Z-2 pro so I know that I wanted to use that and now after hearing what you guys have to say I know that to get the most out of the SIP I will follow it up with 106ff. I really do apreciate your help btw. Thanks

Personally, I think if you are going to skip one of those steps, it should be the Z-AIO. No reason you can't use Z2pro after the 106FF.

Do an ISO wipedown after 106. I think since ZAIO has very fine abrasives it could replace 106 on conventional clears. Also, I don't believe that the Menzerna polishes contain cleaners, ZAIO is a good idea for cleaning the paint.

Well too late now, im gonna try everything out and see what works. I just placed a huge order from AG last night. I got some SIP and 106 to go along with the Flex. I got to wait until tomorow to place my Zaino order though.

Continue with what you are doing. You are on the right path.

I was so pumped when I heard about the Flex. I wanted a UDM before but with all the problems they have been having recently I figured I would just go with a PC instead or maybe get a Makita but didnt want to start off with a rotary so the Flex was perfect I thought. I should have all my stuff by mid next week.

I am pumped for you. Yes I may be looking at a Flex come next year myself. It looks like a high quality machine. I was also looking at the Makita BO6040 DA/rotary combo also. It seems like a good value being that it is two machines in one. It can save me a little time if the conversion between rotary and DA is just the flick of a switch. No need to drag out my rotary if I find that I should need it.
