UK Retailers Listing

I emailed him today Rich asking for prices on WG and Pinnacle ranges - I'll continue to buy everything else from Alex TBH.

Soon as I know prices I'll post here mate - I know you're gagging for some Souveran.....

Nice one Andy, Likewise.

Not really sure on Wolfgang still happy with the VM/ Ex combo at the mo.

EDIT - since I clicked the link earlier the site now is up and running?

Ex-P over Mer (!) and SRP - separate panels seems to be holding up well after a few weeks of snows, frost etc

The site seems to be fully functional

Mer stains trim whereas AIO will not. Mer can be quite hard to remove but QD helps a lot. I think that once the weather improves I might spend some more time with Mer and Comma polish (another chemical polish).

Is MER the product that suggests washing a car with a solution of MER polish and water, or am I thinking of something else

I've found MER to be difficult to apply, difficult to remove, dusty, has poor cleaning/polishing ability and very poor durability. Easily the worst product I have tried. Autoglym SRP, Zymol Cleaner Wax, AIO, Finish 2001 are all far better.

On the other hand I do know people who swear by it, I just swear at it. ;)

If anyone has any usage tips for MER I'm all ears, got to use it up somehow.

I now have WG deep gloss sealant - hoping snows tops by lunchtime as I also have some truly dreadful salt 'n' snow pics of my Astra - halfway up the Snake Pass yesterday!

I really can't believe 'Autopians' would mention Mer on this forum, it's truly the worst product I ever tried & I wholeheartedly agree with everything Andrew T says about it.

Then again, if it's a good sealant (ignoring the stigma of it being Mer) maybe it's worth trying.

I guess you haven't used any then. In the Which? report from September 2003 Mer has the worst durability rating and third lowest overall score out of 25 products tested.

Beg, borrow or steal Mer but don't spend your money on it.

If you pm me your name and address I'll send a sample for you to try.

I used it a long time ago - years before finding this place - when I thought the best way to polish was using circular motions, I had a single yellow sponge for everything and MF meant something, ahem, a little different....

As for Which? tests - I'd always ask whether they prep the panel properly - as with the Auto Express "tests" which barely rated Megs/EO products - aren't these sort of things aimed at the armchair car cleaning fraternity?

I'll pass on a sample but thanks anyway - got WG to try out (when this bloody weather makes its mind up!!!)

I'll be interestd in how the WG works out.

On another note, Alex should have the Megs wheel & tyre brushes in at the end of the month, these look pretty good quality, supposedly better than the OXO versions.
